Predictable, but fun. Some fights are boring because there's no reason to care, Deku's going to ultra his way to victory anyway. More interesting is villains vs villains, or reveals of new quirks. Eri is human plot armor and her power makes no sense. Seiyuus do a great job.

The first four eps are inspired! Top tier animation, very creative direction and editing, great setup of plot and characters, good dialogue, amazing VA work, impressive sound design, good ED, and especially the OP is a banger. The level of quality is not entirely consistent after ep 5, but it's mostly great, especially action scenes, and a few morr eps do reach the levels of the first four. The show still has issues with confusing plot holes and missing details for anime-onlys (certain reveals fall completely flat and make no sense), but not as bad as first season. A few concepts and connections are at least explained this time around. Best experience would probably be to read the manga and rewatch from the start...

Yeeeeah this is stupid. And poorly made. And makes little sense. Yet... I kind of have to keep watching. Creepy ED, cool OP (though weirdly edited). Would make for a great live action show, á la Alice in Borderland. Also, the boss guy calling himself "the chairman of the hunter association" lollllll x lol

Interesting escape room mysteries. Strange tonal shifts, suddenly jumping from dark and mysterious to cutesy. The ending doesn't deliver after all of the build-up, it fizzles out with no confrontation or climax. The final part of the reveal is very unclear.

Rewatched 10+ years later. A classic in terms of story, characters, the immersive world, the amazing soundtrack and the wonderful animation. The male and especially the female lead are impressively free of cliches.

Visually beautiful. Inriguing premise. Unfortunately, characters are one-dimensional and exaggerated, so is the dialogue, with plot points being spoon-fed, slowing down the pace.

A lot of fun, an interesting premise, but has several issues. The pacing varies wildly, from slow slice-of-life segments to rushing through important plot points. Feels like it's skipping scenes, which makes anime-only watching confusing. Also has a bad habit of constantly jumping back and forth in time. Not great at handling the emotionally impactful moments (like with Junpei). Somewhat weak worldbuilding with a tad too unrealistic characters (two schools with like one teacher each and one has a 20-something, childish principal? Your classmate dies, then reappears, and everyone just shrugs?). Villains are cliché and melodramatic. But STILL it's a lot of fun. I like the chatacters and mechanics. Talented seiyuus. Some major fight scenes have really interesting art style and animation. And the first OP is great.

Fun to watch as a special episode, but not an incredible stand-alone movie. Doesn't really add anything new. Turns it up to 11 too often, like OPM without the irony. When Yuta's power escalates super quick with no explanation, struggle or boundaries, none of it feels like it matters. A lot of melodrama and ~emotional moments~ clearly meant to make you symphatize with the characters, but it's mostly fluff and we don't get to know them past surface level so we're being told to care with little to go on. Getting to know Geto better might have made him scarier, more interesting, or more tragic... At times it also suffers from the main show's issue with speeding through plot and skipping details so not every scene makes sense or has an impact. Animation / art is amazing throughout! Great end credits soundtrack.

Feels like Dorohedoro meets Parasyte, just more silly, loud, and with a bit of AoT and Solo Leveling in it. Fun and interesting mix.

Cute, fun. An interesting perspective on siblings, family, and a child's imagination. Maybe more compelling for those who have siblings.

There is a weird amount of sex in this show... The protagonist is often creepy, manipulative and mean. Partly understandable because of his past, but sometimes it's just nasty no matter his age and personality, like when he's saying his 7yo friend is cute and he wants to prime her for a future relationship. A discussion he also has with his scumbag father. They call it "chasing her ass". Wow. Said father is also a rapist, cheater, and Rudy manipulates his poor mom into living with both him and the maid he cheated on her with. What a bummer this show is so far...
Edit, ep 6, while 9yo Eris is sleeping, Rudy (40yo) assaults her: "Bad girls can't complain if someone takes their panties off." WHAT. THE. F. No thanks. No.
I kept with it to the end, and the last couple of episodes were thankfully free of ecchi but pretty boring.
The show has strengths, like the mystery it creates around worldbuilding and magic, (also some great VAs), but unlikeable characters and dull plot drags it down in addition to the awful pervy stuff.
One highlight is the OP and I wish we heard more of it.
