.... I don't know what was worse: how causality is so casually thrown to the wind or the horrible pacing.

Watching the subbed version this time, just because.

Eeeh, this one. I liked the first half *a lot* and then ... the second half happened. I first watched this as it aired many moons ago, and remember losing interest pretty much as the story started to diverge. Rewatching it now, I realise I can't recall much of the last few episodes at all. I remember the ending, but not what led to it.

It gets a 7, because the first 25 gets an 8, but the latter half gets a 6, and I just can't make myself to give it either fully, so the mean will do. XD

it got a little thick on the melodrama at parts, but, ah, youth. the 'best friends growing up together' bits left me feeling rather wistful.

The 'Endless Eight' arc was not that terrible, really. I started laughing when the fourth reiteration came on, because, man, that took guts. Admittedly I was confused at the second one to the point of rechecking the I got the correct episode on, annoyed at the third because, hey, I watched this already, but after that ... well, it was quite fun picking out the minor differences.

this one mostly suffers from viewers coming in with certain expectations and are offered something else in return. i mean, it gets compared to steins;gate more often than not. it's a pretty decent slice-of-life anime, actually --- I actually liked those parts more than the time-travel bits.
