Madonna Fairly entertaining decent story from Junji Itou. I don't think I'm missing any catholic lore knowledge to better appreciate this story, but the story of a man choosing women through beauty as his claimed reincarnation of Mary, to the point of last choosing the student protagonist, Maria is creepy, but interesting in how it somehow created his current wife to get powers of hateful salt attacks to the brain or fully turning anyone who annoys her into bodies of salt to death. The evolution of her ugliness through art is pleasing to watch, but I wonder how she attained the power to turn people into salt by unknowingly praying to her husband's ex-wife's corpse that's inside "bloody" Mary, which he called a salty woman, wishing she'd turn into salt to death which the ex's ghost I assume learned and gave the power to the wife... even though it only brought death to many innocent girls she was frustrated or jealous of that were brought to the secret praying... 'Flawed story but entertaining nonetheless. The wife's supposed death was cool. 5/10. |
| Easily my favourite story, maybe because I'm addicted to soap operas and dramatic plots but the idea of the cheating bastard principal and angry woman was already entertaining by itself especially when everything came together and all hell went loose that was the best part of the story LMAO 😂 why was that girl licking those things in the forest (they already looked liked dead bodies) other than to prove the saltiness of the dust? |
