Finally I finished this. I didn't enjoy it mainly because of Claude, his attitude and demeaning persona sickened me especially what he said about that boy. Also his tsundere attitude made it unbearable, but most of all how he treated Yune like some kind of trash sometimes. I mean the dude took her kimono without flinching, sold it and promised to get it back, but he still hasn't tried to or mention it again.
He doesn't like Camille or Alice because he says they are selfish and look down on people, while he the lord hypocrite demeaned that poor boy. He is such a brat and rude to customers, he should just die. I think the Japanese sold themselves short to French in this anime, it made them look pathetic and weak people who follow every piece of crap and I hated it.
I tolerated it because of Yune but her partner was shit, instead they should've paired her with Alice or even Oscar was fine. I see people are writing that Claude saved her, that was bull she fell in a lower surface he didn't do anything cool. As for his past about his dead, that was just to feel sorry for well that's too late pal you are jerk.
5/10.
How I learned to stop worrying and love the bomb --- Dr Strangelove
to quote from my comment on gogoanime
"What you all forgetting here that she is still small kid only 13 year old, imagine when she got older like 18 or 20 and her beauty is blooming. That is when Claude would definitely head over heel for her, I would definitely want to see such anime, not only to see how she would had grow but also interesting situation, like how Claude would found himself having to keep her, heck that small kid that stole stuff at that age is now an 15-17 year old boy if the story start with Yune at 20. If only the author would still be alive i could see that is an possibility, but well she die 3 year ago and her sister Enaga Senno arent active I would say this is the end of the series."
9/10 for the unusual setting for an slice of life anime that is realistic enough for people to relate
How does the mean score be at only 7.4?! this anime was truly great, beautiful visuals, a lot of emotions with the characters, a great job for the accuracy of the french and french old visual, so overall a solid 8/10 or even up to 9/10 in my heart.
Overall nice series, albeit a bit too stationary for my liking.
Bummer that the story won't proceed. I really would have liked to see Claude X Camille happen. Also, I always thought that at some point Yune goes back to Japan and this time Claude comes with her, as well as Alice. Would have been nice.
Still, very relaxing series, easy to watch. The ending was a bit to saccharina maybe, though, suddenly all the class divide and poverty didn't matter anymore lol.
If you haven't watched "Fantastic Children", don't talk about "best anime". Thank you.
