| Been feeling down these days and a bit lonely, is there any good Anime to watch for pure escapism? If possible, i would prefer Romance and Friendships not being the main focus of the story/plot. I dont mind if its on the side though. |
| Some of my favorite comfort/escapism picks (mainly fantasy and/or slice of life), all feel really cute and relaxing to me: Farming Life in Another World Encouragement of Climb Restaurant to Another World Flying Witch Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill Barakamon Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear Long Riders! Yohane the Parhelion: Sunshine in the Mirror Worth also mentioning Is the Order a Rabbit?, it is another very relaxing/cute show who has a similar atmosphere and approach to series like Non Non Biyori (which you rated a 10), even though it clearly focuses on friendship and family a lot. | Yuru Camp Encouragement of Climb Sky Girls (the show, not the OVA) - a bit unexpected given how the show starts. there's some action, and a little drama later on, but overall it leans more slice-of-life BOFURI - something with more action but a light-hearted tone with comedy In The Land of Leadale - similarly, rather than directly being comfy, it's light-hearted and got a generally happy vibe |

| @CC That is fine. I have a dog so that's not an issue π plus I love kittens. As long is purely a fantasy and doesn't remind me about real life. Like human relationships being the primary focus. |

| @Aubreys_Rage143 Please do enjoy Barakamon! I watched it during a tough time in my life and it brought me a lot of peace. Great Pretender is a lot of fun, too. There's a romance plot in one character's past but it isn't the main focus. If you want to get lost in a big anime, there's also Hunter x Hunter (2011) β I saw on your list that you started it, but I think with the other stuff you like you'd really be into HxH if you can get past the first arc or two! |
