Oh man, another painful cliffhanger. I have no idea what the next pitch will be.

Loving this show so far.

Not bad. Certainly an improvement from the first episode. I'm just really hoping they'll finish off this introductory arc next episode so we can move onto some more interesting stuff.

This is a great show maybe not the best baseball anime out there but this one certainly does a great job of creating a great atomspher and adding enough of a hook at the end of each episode to keep you watching

I just finished watching the first two episodes. And that next pitch is almost certainly a hit. Not really a cliffhanger, just like the time they revealed Tonegawa's last Emperor card. I'll be interested in how it lands, though. This is definitely going to hold me over until HnI II comes out in January.

Tip of the day: Nothing is always what it seems, never make assumptions, don't assume the sixth pitch will be fast when the other five pitches increase in speed. lol!

Toua is still just an Akagi clone. He'll probably lose the bet... and probably intentionally. I don't like his character at all - there's no way you could read someone that well. My suspension of disbelief doesn't go that far. What, did he throw that ball near the batter's feet on the off chance that his wrist might be injured? Or is that a strategy he uses all the time... Is it possible to read a person's inner thoughts and physical condition by the way they throw a baseball to you?

And give me a break. Chopping wood in the mountains to gain a spiritual advantage over your opponent... and then having an epiphany on the last block of wood. Does it get more cheesy than that?

I'll keep watching because Akagi and Kaiji were fun, but deep down, I suspect that the psychological aspects of this series are a trap to get you to watch bishies play baseball.

you sure can't read people's minds but you sure can read their body language if you pay attention and that's the skill he picked up from his gambling time i think. just that he used that skill to his advantage in his pitches.

The way that he won was smart and great. I was thinking it would be a faster fastball, but nope. Although, I hated how he spent a week in the mountains cutting wood just to get better LOL

I hate this show even more now. Toua looks like the type of person that may only lose once or twice in the whole series, gay and predictable. The fat black chick fucking pisses me off even more. Every time I'm starting to actually like the show she pops up and gives some conceited explanation on how amazing Toua is.

Guessing the ball will hit him. Seems like he won, and will take Touta's arm off. that will be dumb, since I don't like him that much.
Awesome show.
How he hurt his arm?

THAT CLIFFHANGER!

Toua's a fucking genius. Baiting Kojima into picking up the ball with his non-injured hand to find his weakness. Makes me wonder what made him think to do that in the first place.

That damn butterfly. Screwed Kojima over really hard in the long term.

Great episode. 4/5 This anime really makes you wanna keep watching!

She's quite the eyesore but I think she is there specifically for newbies like me who can't see those subtle changes in emotions.

That was awesome!

I can't believe Kojima injured his wrist trying to save a butterfly though.

Toua is so awesome and I was gonna say it was pretty obvious to him that Kojima had injured his wrist since be put the bat down to throw the ball back just like he said.

Another cliffhanger ending but what will happen this time? Will he lose again?

Of all things to get injured by . . . A butterfly! Though the whole bit with him going to the forest to "train mentally" always seemed kind of cheesy.

well that was pretty lame even i'll noticed that if he threw the ball by putting his bat down. Anyone can notice that, and they are showing him like he's a genius or smth.

Yoooo, step back to take it! But it's obvious that he didn't empty his thought at the end. He's screwed. He shouldn't have made that stupid bet anyway. It's incredibly drastic.

Kojima clearing out his thoughts didnt work at the end when Toua figured out that he hurt his wrist in some way.
To be fair you're making it painfully obvious when you ask someone to clean your bat and put down the bat in the wet dirt just to throw back a ball.

Toua got in his mind again with the third pitch .... OR he's making Toua think he's in his mind :D

It was a bit predictable that the ball Toua threw to the ground before the game was really to make sure Kojima's wrist was injuried.
That mind game at the end was awesome, Toua is just too good.
