I had my suspicions about the vice principal knowing Sakai's morher since she was so aderse to the idea of making a choir club. I hope we get to hear more about their history.
KaitoDash said: So Wakana changed from a bratty girl to a gloomy girl. Well, she really was just a brat, so I don't blame her attitude towards her mother. But staying gloomy for years until now that she is not a brat anymore is so boring. I like her even less now. It has taken years after her mother's death and she still cannot understand what her mother tried to teach?
Wakana took what her mother was trying to teach her for granted, and now she regrets doing so. Well I don't like Wakana, but it's sad to see her acting like that, like a spoiled girl who took her mother's passion for music for granted.
Lol aren't they (writers) trying too hard now? "I was mean to mama before her death I had no chance to apologize, oh my life sucks".

Pretty much, it was like she was simply set up to be mean to her mother in the flashback, without any other emotions. I'd like to know her reason if she had one, otherwise fuck her.

there better be some back story on how she became such a filthy little slut
or else this character have just fucked over this beautiful anime
This anime is hardly beautiful, just because the visual is pretty, doesn't mean that the writing was done with grace.
I know this isn't exactly the same thing, but my parents hid the fact that my cat died from me, and it made me so much more sad (to put it in perspective, my cat was 22 when she died and I was 24....so it was a bit more of a big deal than it sounds lol). If I ever have kids, I'm just not going to lie to them about harsh shit like that, because it's better to hear it at the time (rather than waiting for a good time to hear it)
If this anime proves anything, its that bad news can come at any time, but it's better to hear it right away, rather than waiting until it's too late.
Oh my God! I cant believe all this hate on Wakana! She was a brat yes, but she was like 13..... Its normal to be like that at that age and you could tell she loved her mother even when she was being mean to her
Surprised she still even tossed out the whale/goldfish/Dolphin-san like that. She's really trying to toss her memories away, but I'm sure she'll make it through this. Wonder if the cat is okay.
I'm surprised Taichi still placed top 8. With how little badminton they do I expected him to never even be able to enter the tournaments.
Wakana's backstory with her mom is quite sad. Something similar happened in my family so I know just how hard the effect can be on someone.
