I don't like the idea of Jimbei being part of the crew (even as a symbolism to show the world about fishman-human friendship).. but he's the closest candidate for now. My real stand here is that no one from fishman island will be part of the crew. (Aside from the Kraken ;p ) |

| It IS so obvious... Pappug would be the 9th crew member :) Kirishishishi! He's just so cute! I love him... I would want Shirahoshi to join them too. She is strong - she has the ability to call sea kings :) Her power would surely help in the battle. |
| Is it official now? I mean Luffy just asked Though, tbh I'm not sure if he'll agree - I can kinda see it going both ways... If he does agree, then SHs just got an incredible boost in power. If not power-wise, then certainly rep-wise he'd be right after, if not on pair with Luffy, making Zoro and Sanji fall back in their ranks. He's really powerful, has experience in New World and has many other characteristics that'd make him a great asset, but... I can't shake this feeling that he'd be a too valuable member to join the crew right now... I'm thinking that he might turn Luffy's offer down, not sure if it'll be a permanent decision though - he might refuse saying that he'll be needed at Fishman Island right now, but once the country recovers he'll catch up to them, or something. |

| Kudos to G_ral for predicting Jimbei's actions. But now that Shirahoshi had been revealed as Poseidon... I think Luffy should take her. I'm quite worried about the ideaof letting the world know "who" is the weapon that can destroy the world. I mean the WG sent the CP9 to find the blueprint which got Franky involved and then Robin who can decipher its whereabouts. So I think Shirahoshi should be with them. Argh Oda is making me crazy. |

| I was actually thinking about her joining the crew a lot, even before she was named Poseidon - mainly after we read about her dormant ability to talk with Sea Kings, but again - she has ability to destroy the world, so the boost in SHs power would be a hundred times bigger than if Jimbei joined. Besides, she's way too big to stay on Sunny and making her swim next to the ship all the time would be just wrong xP Also, Luffy would never ask her to join - he calls her "weakhoshi", she's unable to take care of herself, all she does it depend on others, at least in regards of battle. Even weak Nami or cowardly Usopp were able to do something more than run away. Geez, even Vivi knew how to fight and, even though she's not a crew member anymore, she's also a princess - how many of these do you think should a pirate crew have, huh? ^^; |

| There's always a possibility that Vivi might join them before the end, if there is going to be a big war, between the world government and who knows who. I could see her having to leave home somehow. Jinbei is probably one of the most likely, he is a fishman so he could save people, he adds another way for them to attack which is through the water. He has shown himself as a helmsman when they were escaping from Impel Down. This is kind of random and I don't know if the person was shown in the manga but there was a girl when Luffy broke into the marineford headquarters for the second time. She was a reporter from Alabata, and they sure gave her a lot of screen time. It makes me think that it was possible for her to one day try and sneak on the ship to figure out what makes Luffy different since she was obviously interested in him. Which would also have someone to professionally update their log and possibly release it as a book when they finish their journey. Also Arlong's sister seemed possible, though she does have her own store. It would be interesting if she joined the crew to help the guy who beat her brother and basically sent him to prison. Never Shirahoshi I don't see that happening ever. |
