| Hahaha...that's *exactly* what the charm of Luffy is all about. He's the one pirate who breaks the mold of the standard definition of a pirate. That's what makes him so special. But I loved your little analysis there. Gotta admit, the cape and sword is really what brings it all together. |

| I think that having a jacket and/or a sword have nothing to do with being a successful pirate. In the world of One Piece, you are who you are. That's what's cool about being a pirate, marine, or a regular person. It's more of the heart and will power that makes a great pirate than some accessory. Don't get me wrong, the jacket (more of a cloak) and the sword is all cool, but that depends on the pirate themselves. It's all about how you enjoy your life as you live it currently. That's more of a moral for Strawhats and for some people in One Piece. Everyone has their own set of rules, but yeah. |

Does he have to be great to be known in One Piece? No. Marines wear jackets. So what? At least they're the back stabbers of justice and it's more common place to have Marines in oceans since there are pirates rebelling against the law. Not every pirate should wear a jacket or a sword. Be it a friend or foe, it doesn't matter. Their use of power, personality, and their way of life is what makes them a successful pirate. If this is about appearances, that's ridiculous and stupid. I prefer personality over looks than anything else. |

Franky wasn't born a cyborg, he was a human just like Usopp. And to tell the truth, Franky's greatest invention, that makes him better than Usopp, is his own cyborg body, that he built by himself, almost dead, and in a dumpstore or something (can't really recall). |

| I have to agree, a lot of awesome pirates have the jacket/cape or sword thing going on. Luffy's going to be getting a really cool cape/jacket similar to Gol D. Roger soon... I can sense it. By the way, the tenth movie looks amazing! |
