 The official website of the Yuukoku no Moriarty (Moriarty the Patriot) anime series announced an original video anime (OVA) on Thursday. The two-episode OVA will follow an original story not depicted in the manga.A special event for the anime series will be held at the Nakano Sun Plaza in Tokyo on March 5, 2022, where the OVA will receive an advance screening. Voice actors Souma Saitou (William James Moriarty), Takuya Satou (Albert James Moriarty), Chiaki Kobayashi (Louis James Moriarty), Makoto Furukawa (Sherlock Holmes), and Yuuki Ono (John H. Watson) will attend the event. The eighth Blu-ray and DVD volume, shipping on October 27, will include an advance entry application for the tickets. Yuukoku no Moriarty adapts Ryousuke Takeuchi and Hikaru Miyoshi's crime suspense manga based on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes series, which began in Jump SQ. in August 2016. Shueisha published the 15th volume on August 9. The manga has a cumulative 4 million copies of its volumes in print. The anime series by Production I.G aired in split cours in Fall 2020 and Spring 2021. Funimation simulcast the anime with subtitles and subsequently streamed an English dub. | I hated season 2, but season 1 was one of my favourites. And, the crappy second season doesn't take season 1's enjoyment away at all. Anyway, I'll probably watch it. If it's an anime original story, maybe they'll show something from the novels? |

| I don't know if this is good news. Overall, this series was indeed very good, but the rushed ending left a bad taste in my mouth. The OVA may explore some gaps between the many events of the series in order to add more good content and allow much needed development for some supporting characters, but it may also go past the ending and make it even worse... |

| I liked this anime at first but it got kinda boring by the end of season 2, I just hope that it's not going to be fujo-bait since I've seen a lot of fujoshis arguing about there being a romantic relationship between William and Sherlock that was left out from the anime or something like that. |
