hey, I just finish the first episode of this anime, bcs so many people recommend this to me, but when watching the first episode, idk wtf is going on, there are so many things that they mention I don't know wtf is that mean. should I rewatch the first episode or this is normal when you first watched it?

what do I know from the first episode is :
1. there is a train called flying pussyfoot that many people died when riding it
2. there are 2 characters that have some sort of regeneration skill, luck, and firo
3. there are many mafia families fighting with each other

Yeah it's confusing and it's not gonna get better. Dropped it at ep 6. Tbh everyone said it's like Durarara but it didn't seem to have nor the intriguing plot nor the interesting characters. That's probably just me tho.

I’m currently on ep 9 and yeah it’s almost like the story us broken into pieces from the start and they give you more and more info with each episode, I’ll mostly just complete it because of the characters BUT I also have to add that Durarara for me is so far a better show, but I’ll first need to finish Baccano

Baccano ! seems like a Mystery Anime to me... so it's totally normal to be confused at the start. (Plus if i remember correctly , it's a non-linear story)
The problem would be if you are in the same state once you watched the end.

It's the type of story that'll show all the incidents in an non chronological order which makes it hard for the audience to keep track of everything but if you pay attention till the end everything will connect together.

Keep in mind that I can't guarantee whether you'll enjoy or not. Just heard it from a friend of mine.

Don't worry, neither did I, it gets clearer when you watch more episodes

Don't worry, you only need to get the big picture instead of the details. Everything makes sense at the last episode (or was it the second last episode?)
Yeah as I said, you don't need to worry about the details. Even I didn't know what the hell was going on but at the end everything will make and most probably you'll also like the show just like me

I can feel you, I just kept watching and everything made sense later on and I realised how great of an anime this is.

If you do end up watching it all don't forget to watch "Baccano! Specials" after Baccano!, those are the 3 conclusive episodes after the main anime ends and imo the conclusion was done wonderfully in those 3 episodes.

Its normal that you don't know basically anything. The anime is constantly jumping in time, so you basically start to understand the story bit by bit (you will only understand the story when you get to the end)

No one knows what's happening in the beginning, you have to watch it til the end and just try to memorize some characters for now

The story is given to you in pieces and at the end you realize how everything is connected it's supposed to be confusing just keep watching promise you won't regret sticking with it

that’s totally normal at the beginning, things slowly start coming together as the series continues, but it’s so fun to watch that way it’s really enjoyable

don't worry, you'd understand everything once you finish watching it since it all connects to eachother. the anime's kinda confusing at first but it's rlly good and enjoyable

The scenes of the first episode are almost entirely without context, with subsequent episodes exploring the events of the three main plotlines in more detail. In fact, the first episode provides some significant spoilers that the viewer isn't actively aware of until much later on.
I personally think Bacanno! is one of the best anime shows I've seen but I can understand that the disjointed "hyperlink cinema" structure can be off-putting for most viewers who prefer a more linear approach.

It's supposed to be confusing. Just pay attention to the dates shown and associate them with locations and characters for when dates will not be shown. This should make it less confusing to watch and understand

Steins;Gate and AoT good
Demon Slayer bad

Ok listen, the 6 first episodes you have no idea of wtf is going on but after that is incredible.

Yea, definitely felt the same when I watched Baccano, its really confusing at first, but they did explain it sooner or later. Still a good series nonetheless, love the different personalities of the lots of characters specifically Miria and Isaac lol

I didn’t really get anything that was happening until the last episode were everything just clicked. If my memory is the puzzle then the last episode is where the puzzle gets put together. I don’t even remember the plot anymore all i remember is that ecstasy i got when everything went from not making sense to making sense in a instance.

I think most people are confused in the beginning. I remember there being an episode in the middle the season that helps you understand the bigger picture of the show. I finished the series and there are still some stuff I didn’t fully understand since the show is jam-packed with material.

So? Is everything making sense now after watching more episodes? I'd like to hear your thoughts.
