| Six? More like three, because the latest chapter was published at the very end of 2018. Comic Earth Star still has the the manga under the list of serial works so it seems that the editorial department and the author still plan to continue Maou no Hisho at some point in the future (let's hope that doesn't change). |

It came out 6 years ago, had one volume and we are almost at the end of 2022. So its been on hiatus for almost 4 years despite only having one volume. |

It didn't ''came out'' six years ago, it started serialization in April 2016 (six years ago) and the first compiled volume featuring the first nine chapters came out in April 2017. After that it continued being serialized, albeit irregularly, until the aforementioned last chapter was published (chapter 13, end of December 2018) and then the series was put on hold indefinitely. |

And it's (ironically) too soon to say that the series is over and done; as long as it's being listed on ESC's site there's still hope it will one day resume serialization. |

That's wishful thinking Fujimoto. But maybe... The publisher hasn't terminated the series after it was put on hold for several years and the the author said that he wants to continue drawing it; I'd say it has better chances to resume serialization than stuff like Vagabond and Glass Mask so there's that. |
