actually Japanese people's sound different. its because they 'L' sound pronounced 'R' it is similar as Death Note anime they pronounce raito yagami instead of light yagami.

In Japanese there isn’t really a L and R but instead a sound that can be interpreted as either L or R. So technically both are okay.

I may have forgotten.

Kallen = Karen
Kurisu = Chris/Cris
