But in season 2 Lelouch will become one of your favourite characters after you will watch that masterpiece ending.
That ending made season 2 a perfect 10/10 for me.
You should just continue code geass to know why Lelouch has most favourites in Mal.

Yea based off how story is progressing I assume I’ll enjoy it a lot more in the second season. As I said before though the first episodes seemed kinda mid to me and only during the last few episodes did I start to really enjoy it. Tbh so far in first season I’ve found Suzaku to be a more compelling of a character. Especially in how set in his morals he is

For sure season 2 will make him grow on you. But I think it’s partly because he admits when he does something wrong and doesn’t blame it on somebody else. Also his goal of freeing Japan is quite noble

i'm on 6th episode of season 2, and i should say this, it's way better and enjoyable than s1

Yeah code geass does that a lot. Most of the episode will be 7/10 but suddenly it will give some 9/10 episode which will hijack your mind. S2 was one of the most boring thing I have watched but the last 6 episodes overshadowed so hard that it got 9/10 from me overall.
Yeah Lelouch wasn't that good in s1 but trust me s2 (finale) will change your mind..

You don't need to be an expert to understand the reasons for this. Not only is Lelouch one of the most prominent incarnations of edgylord in anime, his anime also came out at a time when it was one of the major trends in teen fiction.

if u wanna talk antagonist who had big brain. then it has to go to antagonist like johan form monster. he is the definition of big brain. he is flawless
code geass ain't got such antagonist. there were few smart guy in code geass but lelouch had to use his geass to beat them. if u talk about johan he doesn't have such powers he only uses his brain.
if u talk about lelouch he is good but the antagonist in code geass were a piece of crap

Johan is wrapped so much in plot armor he is literally a walking embodiment of one. Also , he has powers llike detecting the serial killers nearby and taking them under his control, persuading a town of full of people killing each other, crossdressing and somehow perfectly imitating the voice of a female and surviving not once but twice getting shot in the head, with no visible scars on his head at all.

Am I the minority for not liking the ending of R2? The Ragnarok connection really felt like it should have been the climax, atleast for Lelouch’s character. Also I really dislike the “zero requiem” it just seems like another self inflicted act of punishment, which seems to go against what the anime was trying to say up until that point.
