'Kengan Ashura Season 2' Part 2 Announced for 2024

The official website of the Kengan Ashura anime series announced on Thursday that the second part of the second season will premiere in 2024. The website also posted a promotional video for the new season.

The first part began streaming exclusively on Netflix worldwide on Thursday. Voice actor Toshiyuki Morikawa (Made in Abyss, Bungou Stray Dogs) is joining the cast as Tokita Niko.

The first season produced by Larx Entertainment premiered in two 12-episode parts on Netflix in July and October in 2019. The platform streamed both parts with subtitles and dubs in multiple languages.


Kengan Ashura adapts Yabako Sandrovich and Daromeon's action manga, which ran in Ura Sunday magazine from April 2012 to August 2018. Shogakukan released the 27th and final volume in February 2019.

The duo began serializing the Kengan Omega sequel manga in the same magazine in January 2019. The 18th volume went on sale on Tuesday.

The soundtrack is amazing but this series doesn't deserve a cgi shitfest adaptation.

Wait. Am I dreaming? Is this for real? We get another 2-cour (I guess this part now 1-cour then the next 1-cour again) ... just similar like with Baki? (Only that here we have a bit more waiting until 2024 and not the next part 1 month later.)

This is great. I think the bigger wait also is better - since afaik it is all at once again. (Netflix.) Then I can take my time and don't need to rush watching the first part. Liked this as much as Baki - just here more because of other chars that are not even fighting. (The old dude was great. Ant the reactions when he accidentally evated some stuff and others thought he was skilled because of that lol.)

@Luthandorius Well, butter my butt and call me a biscuit, y'all are happier'n a pig in slop 'bout gettin' another 2-cour, huh? Actin' like ya just won the dang lottery. Let me tell ya, more episodes don't always mean better, kinda like how more beer don't make ya a better dancer.

Comparin' it to Baki? That's like comparin' a Ford to a Chevy—different strokes for different folks, but don't mean one's better'n the other. Yer all riled up 'bout waitin' till 2024, but remember, good things come to them that wait, like a coonhound on a scent.

Yer talkin' 'bout takin' yer time watchin' it? Boy, yer slower'n molasses in January. It's Netflix, not a timed rodeo event. Ain't no need to rush like a chicken with its head cut off.

And that old dude ya mentioned? Yer praisin' him like he's the second comin' of Johnny Cash. Let's not forget, even a blind hog finds an acorn now and then. Don't mean he's a genius or nothin'.

So go on, keep hootin' and hollerin' 'bout yer new episodes. Just remember, more ain't always better. Sometimes it's just more.

@Mrchocoman34 CGI in this series is quite good. Nothing to complain about.
