• Zangetsu said at last scene ep13 Ichigo now can use his own power. It is confusing because why Zangetsu said that it is not even borrowed power. He is already mixed blood and that is already ichigo’s own power. Therefore, ichigo’s own powers are shinigami, quincy, hollow.

i just tried to searched it up and it seems he faded away because he had to merge with the real zangetsu to create his true zanpakuto.

im guessing this is what was illustrated when the two swords turned into particles and the particles melded together turning them golden

as for him saying he can use his own power now, maybe hes not saying he hasnt been using his own power, but rather that now that he knows its all his own power, and he doesnt need to ask them for help anymore and can use the powers as his own(as well as gaining access to even more of his own power)
