| What is the meaning in Matsumoto's decision to make the enemy aliens in this series all beautiful women? I suppose it ties into the "Mazone are beings who manipulate the heart" idea that's mentioned several times, such as when Daiba is hypnotized into thinking that one Mazone is his dead mother. Is the idea that appearances need to be looked past, that the Mazone need to be fought because they threaten earth and their pleasing looks are irrelevant? A rather sexist idea, since it ignores women on earth's side, even though in Kei we have one in the main cast! |
| Also, why are they women if there's no men in their race? They should be androgynous or something completely different from the idea of gender as we know it. It makes absolutely no sense just like everything else in this show. |
