Watched this for the gore.
The storytelling/directing was absolutely horrendous. The plot wasn't piecing together at all.
Animation was pretty good during the gore but was terrible everywhere else.
I have to say, I didn't expect the amount of destruction from the fights to be comparable to "Dragon Ball Z".
I suppose this OVA series will be episodic?
I wouldn't mind that. However, since this was an adaptation, I expected it to only tell one story. (Unless the 5 chapters of the manga each told a different story that is.)
This was honestly just boring. The story is a mess and the violence on this wasn't the entertaining kind. Part of the reason for that is that the animation just isn't good enough for the most part.
I guess the very last fight was kinda cool but you have to watch like 40 minutes of shit to get to that point so it wasn't worth it.
The gore scenes were great but the plot... meh. It tries way too hard to create a reason for all of the shit happening during the episode. Making your characters say complicated stuff don't make your show intellectual.
For an anime from the 80s, the animation was pretty good. The gorey scenes were particularly well done, even if they didn't had a reason to exist.
I wonder how this will evolve now that half of the characters are dead.
buy mochi at the mochi store
and friends at the friend store
Wtf was wrong with the three guys assaulting the boy??
The scene with the guy freaking out saying there were insects inside his head was pretty much nightmare-fuel. I wish it would've been made better than just badly made insects floating around, but it wasn't too bad.
It's not that much gorier than a lot of violent 90s ova so far, mostly just silly.
very fuckin wild.
ED song was nice. Lot of body augmentations.
Wtf is a genocyber tho? i dont even recall it anymore.
also, this woman got a fuckin machine gun in her mouth. The purpose of the show is gore and violence which it delivered. Story made no sense. Characters, they are all fuckin dead. So weird to see this little boy just smiling at the girl he just met get a fuckin hand pierced into her body. Ending song is pretty fine tho. Fuck it, next ep here we come.

This show sets up some really interesting ideas but pads it with incomprehensible bullshit half the time so they’re not explored at all. That being said, I’m still intrigued so I’ll watch episode 2. Still can’t figure out why Elaine wants to destroy everything
it was all over the place. the story didn't really make a whole lot of sense. the gore is what everyone says makes this so cool, which didn't really feel like much. there's a lot more violent things thats put out so in comparison this feels fairly average or at worst, lack luster. from what i've seen of people recommending this, i think its a terrible recommendation
The one time japanese don't make the story take place in Japan and it's because they absolutely annihilated the whole place (Hong Kong). Kek gotta love the bias.
Pretty awesome first episode lol, plot is not that convoluted IMO, just poorly executed every now and then. Setting based in Hong Kong was a funny surprise lol
