Additional anime list aside from the Top Anime

I was thinking it would be nice to have an additional overall listing of all anime (in this website). A listing which shows a long list of all main anime series (without OVAs, Specials etc.) in alphabetic order.
I believe it is hard to get an overall picture of the anime in this website because of the missing list. Currently you have to search the anime title if you want to find something, but it would be nice to be able to just scroll down a long list with anime title and discover new anime this way.

Also, I think a feature which sorts all the anime series in production/release year is needed. It would be awesome to watch the evolution in anime from the beginning till today's anime.

Of course this idea applies to manga as well (but seperated from the anime listing).

This link will get you a list of everything.

For release year, go to Advanced Search and add 'Start Date' (and 'End Date' if you wish) to Columns. Then hit 'Search Anime' with the field blank, and click on the date field once to sort it in reverse chronological, and twice for chronological.

Of course, if you go by chronological, you'll have to go through all the entries that don't have airing dates attached to them, as they pop up first.

Well that is certainly true. I did not know we had this kind of function on MAL. Yet, I was thinking of a longer list which shows all the titles in 1 page. It is a bit annoying to have to go to the "next page" and only view 20 at a time. And the list would not have to be in only one column. Also, the current list has description text attached to them (which takes up unnecessary space in an over-all viewing list).

Having a feature to show every anime or manga in one page would put the server under so much stress that the server would die pretty fast and make the rest of the site un-usable...
