Interesting how the Flame Vessal interacted with the ships computer. Not a bad episode all in all. Plant Mazone are pretty formidable. |

| Hot dog! This show knows how to make action sequences fun and groovy. It's such a joy to watch. |
| I like how the Arcadia is like a matryoshka doll of ships. Battleship sends out a smaller gunship/shuttle, which in turn launches another smaller fighter. Also Kei Yuki is quite the badass. I really like the main characters in this show. Most anime would have the cocky hot-headed Daiba as the sole lead, but here he is tempered by the cool and level-headed Harlock who serves as a mentor of sorts. It's a way more enjoyable dynamic than most Shounen anime of this era, although I guess it's kinda typical for Leiji Matsumoto's work. |

| Harlock and Tadashi almost bit the dust there. That snow-making bomb saved them. You can never be too careful when dealing with the Mazone. |
