how's the idea?
| here's an idea regarding a new club pic every couple of days. club members will "post message" me a funny screenshot from any episode and i will use it as the club pic. there's PLENTY of funny shots to choose from so this idea would last for quite some time. ***if you don't know how to create your own screenshot, familiarize yourself with this button. http://dariosalvelli.files.wordpress.com/2006/07/printscreen.jpg it takes a screenshot of whatever is on your screen. you would pause the part of the episode you like, press the "PrtScr" (print screen) button, go to MSPaint and press Ctrl+V to paste the shot. simple. problems... will this be a spoiler-fest for certain people or does the majority not care? if this poses a problem, then i won't consider doing it. i'll leave this thread up for about a week to see where people stand on it. |

| i've already tested out what the screenshots would look like if they were set as the main club pic. its kinda hard to read the subs because of the size of the pic... i'll post up a test run |

Here's an idea why don't we do the whole club pic idea as a side competition where the screens will be voted and we'll have a new winner every week ;) |

| Screenies from an actual anime don't qualify as professional art ? You are probably going to get a better variety of shots from the series rather than fan/promo artwork. Any decent screengrab can be made into a good club pic, 5 minuite job in PS. I have used screengrabs in club pics, sigs, info pages, userbars and banners. I wouldn't use strieght up screenshots,though I can think of one or4 2 scence that would work fine on their own, with a little work they are as good as any other art. The only thing I would say would be to use screengrabs from the raw or cut the subs off, cuts down on spoilers. Neko-Gouzaburou Welcomes You =D, now theres a cracking spoiler. |

Neko-Gouzaburou Welcomes You =D, now theres a cracking spoiler. i mean, if you want to fix up a screenshot and make it a lil nicer, by all means go ahead and do so. i'm not gonna stop ya. what i AM thinking of asking for are screenshots with no subs on. but only if it isn't a hassle to do so. the thought of having to re-download an episode in RAW format because you can't turn off subs seems like a pain. if i do get screenshots with subs and its nothing major, it shouldn't be a problem to upload. |

| That's the hardware acceleration on your video card, I think, and is usually a issue with ATI cards. If you open the file in media player. go to options and the performance tab, click advanced in the video acceleration rollout and un-check use overlays, you should be able to screen grab video. |
