I loved this series. I kinda wish it was longer, but, now that I know some other anime like Nupu Nupu, I'll try to check those out instead. Thanks, Piruix.
Anyway, this was just about the perfect kind of series for me. I don't mind animation that is intentionally understated, as long as the rest of the show is up to snuff, and Let's Nupu Nupu definitely is. The jokes are incredibly funny, and the best part is that you don't see most of them coming. All the recurring characters are great, too. I'd highly recommend Let's Nupu Nupu to anyone who can stomach the dated animation and the random humor. It really is a treat!
Thought it was mostly pretty underwhelming. Like a lot of sketch shows, each series of sketches has pretty much one joke and it doesn't really keep the one joke fresh enough.
Oddly enough, episode 5 was actually much funnier than the others. If they had all been that good, I would have enjoyed it a lot.
The series of sketches about the kindergarten teacher was actually kind of interesting, though. So much so that I'm about the make a thread about it.
While I didn't find the comedy particularly enjoyable, there were some intriguing aspects to it, no doubt. I didn't have high expectations going in anyway, so it doesn't bother me much. Also, it's refreshing to watch a "WTF" anime from time to time, where you can just turn your brain off and enjoy the absurdity.
Damn, feels so weird -in a good way- to revive an old thread after 12 years of inactivity
