| Another pointless death while Harlock just keeps chasing Mayu. I guess there's some cultural difference here, but I can't see the rhyme or reason in going alone to a certain death against a whole army. Here it was shown to be an inspiring act of bravery. At least historically in Japan such acts may have been admirable, but I'm too far removed from such cultures to see what such self-sacrifice could actually accomplish. |
| A past love the Arcadia's cook got to speak to her one last time, before he died in combat. She suffered deeply because of it, but at least she got to speak to him, because her voice likely made him much more comfortable with death. |

| A surprisingly complex history for Masu. The former commander's death may seem like a waste, but at least he was vindicated by the arrival of the Mazon, and he got to die a heroic death. |
