| Great, things are getting interesting, I just can't believe how Balgus died so soon, that was one badass man, we need more characters like this. Yeah Escaflowne desing is really something, probably the best I've seen after the Evangelion ones. |

| Damn shit just got real. First of all, the music's too good. Kanno does it again. Hitomi seems to see the future or something; definitely got to do with that pendant. And, I just hope they don't show the cat girl too much. It doesn't seem she is there for any other reason except for comic relief @__@ |

| (rewatching again) Dance of Curse / 5 (listening to the full version as I post) No joke, one of the best soundtracks of all anime :D Balgus is the man. He needs no mecha. But really, it's Dance of Curse that brings the chills. That, and the music when the gate was broken. Oh yes! |

| Wow great episode. Really liking the mix of fantasy and mecha in a feudal-inspired setting.Works better than one might expect. I know the word 'epic' gets over- and misused pretty often,but the OST for this anime deserves to be called epic. The theme for the Escaflowne mecha is simply amazing. |

| Love the scenery/backgrounds, it's almost Ghibli like. Great attention to detail; in the scene where Hitomi was looking out of the window after changing, they even drew the wrist bone underneath her wristwatch. |
