Finally we've moved on from the pain of the last two episodes. To be honest Makoto was probably my least favorite character, so I didn't really enjoy the last two so much (although they were nice commentary on Alzheimer's)
This episode brought the awesomeness back. Totally hilarious, definitely one of the better episodes. Nayuki/Ayu interaction was simply uguu~~~~~~ And Yuuichi patting Nayuki on the head...Nayuki enjoying a sundae...Nayuki sleeping with Ayu...seriously when two enormous centers of moé collide like this, this just creates the perfect moé storm. Kawaiii!!!!!
I'm glad they didn't just completely forget about Makoto and mentioned her a few times. But yeah, awesome episode. I loved the conversation between Nayuki and Yuuichi concerning their promise to walk home.
I'm really, really looking forward to the next episode. I love dances~
woah that was kinda weird. there was actually something in the school (a demon i suppose); up until this point, i thought she was lying. lets see how the dance goes.

Then you haven't watched Clannad either! Key produces some of the best visual novles around!!
Anyway, I can tell the Mai arc will be really interesting!
By the way, I'am happy Piro didn't die :3
Very nice episode!!!
Ayu and Pyro are back, Ayu and Nayuki are really moeee!!
Many comedy scenes: lunch "pass your 'obentou' ", Nayuki/Yuuichi conversation, the "can each 3 more sunday" Nayuki, breakfast with Ayu.
^.^
It really calmed those feelings from the last episodes.
Btw, i hadn't noticed Ayu was soooo short.
Now, not only her acts looks childish, she's entirely like a child.
Anime ga daaaai suki!!! Computer Engineering. Japan is awesome!!!
this series is turning out to be really great and has a clannad kinda thing going on where it starts off with comedy centering on one character tale and gradually getting sadder before becoming comedy again and centering on another
"Yummy Yummy Yummy!" lol omg i LOVED the games they played where they passed the food around and he's like "Okay I'm to hungry to continue this crap." and when he was like "Who promised what?" X'D and what was with the dancing when they were eating dinner?! XD omg and those guys that were like "So I was on the can, oh hey is that who I think it is?" and the other guys like "I don't know who do you think it is?" ahahaha omg and "You know a girl that looks like a gorilla?" and "It's to close for me to read." hahahaha an "Hurray Hurray." This anime is so funny and this episode was AMAZING!
Nice episode, much of it was quite compressed in the 2002 version and also a bit of change that Ayu now lives also in the same house as Yuuichi so this could be an interesting thing! I do think the next couple episodes concern more about Mai than Ayu though with the whole dance!
The ending was nice, I'm not sure if Yuuichi saw the shadow monsters or not but if he would that would be the first time where in the 2002 version he encountered them already 3 times!
Either way lovely episode quite some funny parts and nice story length!
I really hope that Ayu doesn't become the next Madoka and die too. That would stink, also I get the feeling that the whole dance thing is going to either get ruined by mai or Mai is going to break something and get expelled... or show up and everyone treats her like the plague. Honestly cannot see this whole idea being successful.
Yay! Ayu is back!
I love the interactions between her and Nayuki. This ep was full of pretty good jokes. Yuuichi wanting to go in the bath with the two girls was win :D
I'm happy it's Mai's time now, I'm much more interested in her than Makoto. Though I wish she was after the Shiori to save the better for later. Shiori is not a very interesting character so far, she is decent at best, I hope that her story will be good though.
I just noticed, the episodes without Ayu-chan didn't start with "Dream," does this mean something or not? I am so curious! Perhaps all of this is just a dream? The town seems ultra mysterious and surreal, so maybe!
The Ayu-Chan / Nayu-chan scene was cute. Loved them.
Final img of story
At the end, Mai, WHAT HAPPENED! Yuuichi-san is bewildered!
animefan3 said: AWESOME ep! :P I LIKE it and LOL that was breakfast??? I thought it was chocolate cake lmaooo
I was positive it was mud pies with catsup. Hmmm, my culinary mind must be slipping...
So there is really demon after all. I really though it was some kind of delusion. Mai is really weird, but she's funny at the same time. She seem to adopt Yuuichi stupid way to say ''yes'' and ''no'' xD
Ayu now stay at Akiko house, everyone seem to be attract by that house :P
Her reaction at the phone was disturbing, I mean how could you forget your parent are not home? The only answer is that she was lying. My theory is that her parents are dead/dissapeared/badly hurt. My speculation are rarely right though :P
Kaori was weird in that episode. She seemed jalous when Yuuichi waved at Shiori. Maybe she know her somehow.

>talking about the last two episodes like they were bad
I SPENT THE ENTIRETY OF EPISODE 10 CRYING I'LL HAVE YOU KNOW
Makoto is the best and and and and... *sobs* I miss her...
This was a good episode, too, though. I'm really liking Mai.
I really hope they do it Toei-style and focus on Mai first. Ayu's best left for the last...or at least in conjunction with Nayuki, like how Toei did it. Toei had the scenarios and plots near-perfection, it is just the development and drama which was totally non-existent for Toei. The sad part's gone, and the happy part's back. I really hope they could expand a bit more on Mai, which Toei did so flippantly, despite spending the most time on her, ironically. Especially the slight hint (vague in the 2002 version, so I cannot say for sure) that Yuuichi might be related to Mai in the past, and the breaking down of the 'demons', which are actually (MAJOR SPOILERS)
just part of her imagination, the imagination she could not let go of.
Liking KyoAni's version alot so far. I have appreciated Toei's version rather greatly, and hopefully so for this version. Makoto's arc impressed me. 4/5

I prefer this version of making the monsters invisible, especially considering the fact that the monsters are actually (MAJOR SPOILERS FOR THOSE WHO HAVE YET TO COMPLETE EITHER 2002 and 2006)
parts of her imagination.

It's so weird not seeing my favorite character Makoto in this episode... I think I'm gonna drop this show, lol jk.
Ayu returns, but it seems like Mai has the spotlight for the next couple of eps
Really cute and cheerful episode. Ayu's burnt breakfast, and the cute little Mai & Sayuri lunch part passing around the food. xD
I wonder what Kaori's bad mood was all about though. And then they showed her looking at Yuichi while he waved at Shiori...I'm assuming she's gonna end up being related to her...I just wanna know what's wrong with Shiori and what Kaori's all mad about.
"Oh whoops, I totally forgot they were on holiday" ... not just that but other scenes already made it seems she was homeless perhaps, this made it a bit more believable.
I don't think I've met a character as laconic as Mai. Her word count in the whole anime is probably lower than Yuuichi's sentence count in the average episode (or Makoto's Auu~ count.) Now I'm back to feeling sad...
Yuuichi seems to be just a bit milder this episode, like he actually learned something from the trauma he experienced / the memories he regained. If this trend continues my opinion of Kanon may drastically improve.
Nayuki is such a sweet person. I have so much respect for those that deal with trauma by turning outward and trying to help those around them.
Every day you can read a book or watch some anime is a good day!
