That's incredible! Holy smokes I didn't even know animation was a major, that's sick as hell! Even if it's proven to be tough, it sounds like your drive and passion for it far exceeds the necessary evils of it (eg; pulling all-nighters, shivers). So right on! And yeah comp sci is such a popular major for some reason at my school too, but it seems like dropping that major in favor for animation was a blessing in disguise! Was being involved with animation something you always wanted to do? Or did you have different plans if you were to continue on that Comp Sci path? 😮

Oh hell yeah that'd be great if you could send it. I suppose I could also search for it too, was it on AO3 or Fanfic.net? And now that you mention it, MYF DEFINITELY takes heavy inspo from KHR! Especially in the character design department! I've sadly only read the first chunk of it and was so sad when I heard it was ending! I've heard the ending is satisfying, so at least there's that to look forward too! But Taiyo looks SO much like Tsuna, and Kengo is LITERALLY PRINCE (er his bro too for that matter). You could definitely juggle the character designs between series and confuse someone not in the know, so good eye! Have you finished it? Think it's as good as Reborn?

YES same! I was pleasantly surprised how well it meshed into the story, because random flashbacks can be hit or miss for me, so I'm glad it was the former. And the most impressive part was how much it made me appreciate Gamma way more as a character. NGL I DESPISED him initially, and thought he was just another overbearing jobber waiting to get pummeled, but that wasn't the case! Something I'm really impressed by in KHR! is that it's really good at creating complex morally gray characters like Lancia, Rokudo, Squalo, Gamma, and even Hibari! Where initially, these guys are giga dip-wads, but with some further exposition, sure you may still not see eye to eye with them but at the very least you can understand where they're coming from and incidentally just might find yourself rooting for them when it's their time to shine! ^0^

Speaking of Hibari, that dude's way too OP...AND I LOVE IT! Can't believe it was him and Gokudera of all characters who were playing 4D chess with time travel, rings, and their boxes. Have they interacted much? If not at the point we're at, I hope they do more so at some point down the line. Feel free to spoil me on that front!

Well said, I'll be honest (character design aside) I was NOT feeling Chrome initially, even with her incredibly depressing backstory wth?! She felt like a jobber Rokudo took both pity and advantage of. But as the plot unravels she really comes into her own and became one the characters I root for the most whenever she's involved! Oooh, what kind of impression did her intro leave on you? And overall, who IS your favorite character? Have I met them yet? 😵‍💫😵‍💫

As of writing you this, I've just been introduced to Prince's bro (alive?!), the ACTUAL funeral wreaths, and this frog dude named Fran who's a stand in for Marmon (rip? prolly not). Fran so far is bringing some much needed levity to all the high stakes action happening so I'm digging him. What are your thoughts on him? Er maybe I should keep hush about him until I get further.

Gokudera really is the GOAT! I'm right there with you in thinking the ring+boxes combo were pretty out of left field, but once that dude started combining them for stuff like C.A.I. I was HOOKED! He's got a cute cat too out of it, and well from then on I was sold on them. It is quite the jump (lol) from the various bullets used primarily in the Daily Life Arc. So how about it, would you have preferred it if the series kept those bullets versus the power level system we ended up getting?

Excellent choice, I remember seeing that scene and being like, "OH NO NOW SHE KNOWS ABOUT THEIR SUMO MATCHES!" but she ended still being relatively aloof. Speaking of Kyoka, in the future we see her pal Hana wearing a "suit" of sorts. Is that just her style or is she part of the Vongola too by then? AH! In case she is, feel free to not fill me in on the deets!

Spanner's such a bro, honestly if they were to keep him as a bad guy but kept his chill personality intact, he'd still be up there for me was one of my fav characters. But exactly, when he teamed up with them I couldn't be happier! Also him being dragged along with his parachutes behind Tsuna was hysterical to me for some reason. I have a p cringe sense of humor so, maybe that's why lmao. 😭😭

That's fair, SOL is probably one of my least read/watched genres too. What about it misses you? And whoa watching anime at 4 am, pulling all-nighters, you gotta be nocturnal! I go to bed at a whopping 8pm, like a boss. Aaaand are you typically a binge watcher/reader?🦇🧛‍♀️

YO YOU HAVE A BATTLESHOUNEN STORY?! That's badass, can I see it?! Battle shounen and comedies are my favorite genres, so the fact that you made one makes me really wanna learn more about it! And ye, by 'too many cooks in the kitchen' I meant how many characters were crammed into a chapter (or literally into Tsuna's room) where there was a rainbow of personalities clashing with each other. Versus in the later arcs where characters get more one on one, divided attention.

Yeah same, romance on its own misses me for the most part but when it's combined with something else it's waaay better. Though it is surprising to hear KHR wasn't doing well as a gag centric story, I enjoyed it, I wonder if the change bothered Amano at all.

The more KHR I read, the more I see where MHA got its inspiration, cause holy smokes does it wear its inspiration on its sleeve! And Reborn! fanfics for me? Were you gunning to get to the fights perhaps? 😋 And absolutely, the more I read and see them longing for the daily life arc shenanigans, the more I do too. I wonder if the author always intended it to be a gag to battle shounen or was perhaps egged on by her editor. Again I love both sides so not much of an issue for me, but I do love the 'too many cooks in the kitchen' aspect of that arc that's not really there in the later arcs. Lmao, well one time I across one KHR fan who told me they want the series to stick with me forever, consume my soul, and leave residue in my organs, so that was fun. But I guess colorful personalities for a colorful series isn't all too surprising. Hah, well that's fair.
