I haven't watched Umineko but it's by the same creator as Higurashi so that's probably a good judge for how graphic it is.

Yeah higurashi's pretty graphic for anime, I wouldn't say it's *too* excessive but if you can't do blood then you're better off avoiding it.The first scene is a stabbing lol.

Haha yeah, it's probably best to know ahead of time. The director left by episode 18 I think. It's a troubled production but it's got a lot of heart!
