what's so simplified about the control scheme? I heard there are no dragon punch motions, is that the kinda thing you are talking about?

yeah I started it as an RPG list but changed it to just "game" list cause I realized some stuff on it wasn't really RPG. it's mostly still just RPGs on the list though. most of them have a score of 8 or higher because I think I'm pretty good about picking stuff I'll like. I'm rather picky and generally don't even look at a game unless it has anime aesthetics

To be honest, I'm not the biggest fan of Valkenhayn, I think he's overpowered. Good range (5B, 6C, j.2C), great damage and semi-fast. He's even better then Bang, IMO.

Yeah. The lag wasn't that bad last time. Longer combos or combos where you have to time good weren't possible though.

I didn't go through every char to see who suited me the most. Rather I got beaten by every char in score attack mode and got an opinion who I might play and who not. I liked the frog, I liked her character design, I liked how she can control wind - that's when I decided I start learning her, even though it was a bit hard to start with a rather hard character instead of learning a easy one like Ragnya, Jin or Noel first lol.
So Noel is familiar to Guilty Gear for you? Why is that? o:
Platinum's midscreen BnB looks a lot like May's 5K 5S [2]S 8HS imo.

Yeah, the only good thing about tiers is that you know which player's don't have an own opinion about the characters... I know many players who played Rachel in CT and suddenly started playing Bang in CS.. :/

Yeah, the wait is very long... It's so annoying. Makoto and Valkenhayn got released so fast, and Platinum is taking like ages. She's the only character I'm interested in of these 3.. Like many other people too x_x

Too bad our match didn't go well, I hate those distance problems ... :/

And you know, it's actually possible to play GG online. The japanese XX #Reload PC version can be patched so you can netplay - it works! (and good thing my arcade stick is multicompatible)

Rachel was my first main and this won't change, no matter what (and if, she'll still be my sub, and this will only happen when Platinum comes out.). I like her as a character and I like her fighting style. So I don't care about Rachel beeing shit tier, as long as I like the character itself. I can't understand all those tier whorers, just dropping her because she's bad now.
I didn't saw any good Valkenhayn yet, maybe you're the first one? xp
