Well, probably quite similar to other anime lovers out there.
I fell in love with anime after watching Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood and Death Note.
I am quite flexible in terms of genre but my favorites ones are mecha, fantasy and romance.
I'm quite picky in terms of graphics/artwork (comes from my gaming habit) but it should be fine as long as it's reasonable
The most important thing for me is obviously, the plot and the story line. Uniqueness is probably the most important element that I am looking for. I always love to see anime with fresh and new ideas that I've never seen before. Even if it comes from old anime.
I'm also a Dota 2 player (and I'm quite good at it... I think) so give me a shout if you are interested in playing together~

Introduction:
Hello there, friend!
We at the Australian & New Zealand Anime Club are proud to present... Our very first newsletter!
This community was founded on the 28th of January - 2015, and since that time we've come a very long way.
You are only reading this because YOU made it possible by being a very important piece of what makes this club what it is.
That said, we are happy to announce that we're coming close to reaching the 1,000 Member Milestone!
It's a wonderful thing to know that there are so many fellow Aussies and Kiwis who love Anime and we hope that we only continue to grow from here on out.
About the newsletter:
So you might ask, what's this newsletter all about?
Well, great question. We've scratched our heads a few times and figured that this newsletter will be dedicated to letting you know that we're active!
Despite the substantial growth of our club, there is still a handful of you that we still haven't had the pleasure of getting to know.
We want you to understand that this is a safe and fun club, but if you're shy then we're not going to force you to participate, this is simply to remind you that there is a place for everyone at this club, so if you ever warm up - come and say hi!
Here's what's happening right now:
We have a wide selection of club activities that you can participate in, from anime discussion to club games or casual conversation.
Anyone in the club is free to make up whatever thread they feel would interest people!
What we hopefully have planned for the future:
GFX Competitions, Giveaways, Club Member of the Month, Gaming Groups and more!
So, other than that, there isn't much to say this time around but hopefully the next time we have to do this, there is much more to look forward to.
We again are thankful to have you, and hope that you come and have some fun with us sometime soon.
- Yours truly,
The Australian & New Zealand Anime Club.

Although it's true FMA isn't needed to watch FMAB the fact that they both had over 50 episodes allowed them to include the back story and then FMAB had 13 more episodes then FMA to include the extra stuff.
Persona Golden didn't even have half the amount of episodes as it's original series so asking them to include the original story would be unrealistic, A summary of it maybe but then they would need to cut more stuff out to fit it in 12 episodes, In the end it would be detrimental. I think they made the right choice to leave all that stuff out because if people want to know the back story it is out there for them in the games and original anime.
And maybe they explained those things again because it was one of the most memorable moments in the original anime. I'm not sure about you but the first time Yu brings out his persona gives me Goosebumbs every time. Probably one of my favorite anime scenes ever so I'm glad out of everything that was one of the things they included from the original. (Plus it shows how OP Yu is now in New Game +)
And apparently that's the only reason you dislike it because under Characters you put "Since they didn't explain how they got there in the first place, there's no progression or whatsoever from them."Which is the same thing.
They get developed in the original. Golden is focused on the relationship between Marie and Yu which makes it new and exciting like it should be, Not a remake with a new character but a whole new story built off the first one.
