Kakushigoto is amazing right?? I almost didn't pick it up but I'm glad I did! I'm planning to pick up Gundam, I hope I can get into it. Chihayafuru has been on my PTW for ages I need to watch it fml. What seasonals are you liking btw?

Shounen is a good trope but it often gets done very basically or relies on its world too heavily :// like I'm a big Naruto and One Piece fan but it's the vast world that draws me in tbh. Yeh you've seen so much, I don't think I could ever choose favourites from that hahaha. Do you watch seasonals aswell??

I'm really keen on anything of quality, I can't really define myself by genre. I enjoy alot of action and shounen with cool fights, power-ups, violence, etc. But I like the really moe stuff too, am a big SoL fan and will sometimes settle for a nice story than action. I'm about that broad in any medium I consume which is good bc so much to choose from, but bad for the same reason :// wbu what genre do you enjoy most??

I like Gundam more or less and The Origin is the best of the franchise.

Anyway, this year of the rat is a mess, lots of celebrities are breaking down. I look forward to the Star Blazers movie that I heard about from my 34 year-old friend.

Yeah I somewhat agree with you, however I usually don't let the popularity of a show/manga affect my personal enjoyment. HxH would be a lot more popular than it already is if Togashi was consistently pumping out new chapters, but I honestly doubt that'll ever happen at this point. I'm scared that if Chainsaw Man gets an anime that's not as good as the manga but is really popular because I've been shilling this manga since chapter 1 lol.
I'd say Berserk is definitely mainstream but just to a certain audience. Blade of the Immortal to a lesser extend but is definitely popular among seinen manga.
I've heard of both, but I've not checked out rokudenashi blues. I read the manga of Dorohedoro & watched the anime.

Ah yeah if you stop updating for a while it'll take a while to add everything lol. I do like samurai manga quite a lot, but I think that's just me liking historical manga in general. While I do read a lot of shonen, I'll always like seinen more 90% of the time. Don't think I've tried many mecha manga because it's a pretty hit or miss genre for me.

While I haven't read many, I do like yakuza manga. Definitely need to read a lot more.
