| I started watching anime seriously on the internet when I was 11 years old, fall 2007. First genre that I watched was shounen, the big three, sports and highly popular around that time. It's been 12 years since then. I have manage to dig into different genres that I don't appreciate very well, try to experiment and expand my watch zone, research and study about the history, technicality of anime, I have my highs and lows, watch new and old shows in my slowish pace, and right now, I still love and watch anime, it gives me an instant way to have a good time and to blow off some steam. At this point, I could see myself watching anime into my gray years. |

| I'm 28 and well I've always gravitated towards sci-fi/mecha series since I watched Code Geass back in 2008. I was only into anime for two years before then and before that I was more of a fantasy/sci-fi fan. So no I don't really think my tastes have changed too much honestly. I watch pretty much anything that airs on TV as long as its good enough to keep my interest. |

| 16 y/o here I started watching anime when I was 11 (6th grade) and refused to watch anything but shojo romance anime. I started to run out of good romance anime tho so it slowed down Then.. as I got older I realized that action anime were actually kinda decent. I now mostly watch psychological, police, action, and sometimes romance (if it's decent). Now I watch most things except Yuri, Mecha, and Harem (reverse harem ok tho). |

| 20 years old. I'm very picky when it comes to anime, so there isn't a ton of them in my list right now. I enjoy me some shoujos, thrillers, chillers, fantasy - stuff that takes you into a another realm. Slice of life and comedy are nice to watch, as well. haha |

| I am 21 years old and I think my tastes did change in the sense I opened up more to a variety of genres but I still enjoy the same type of shows when I first got into anime as a kid/teen. I am pretty much up for anything though I really enjoy war dramas like Gundam MS Team, Legend of the Galactic Heroes or Saga of Tanya the Evil. |

| 17 years old. I prefer romance and drama, and school stuff is a plus. However a bad show in these genres is still a bad show. The voice acting of a show can do wonders for its watchability. I guess one peculiar thing about the anime that I watch though is that I prefer real themes, not just like isekai for the sake of being isekai or some battle shounen with tons of plot holes. Anime is media and should have some kind of message imo. |

| 36 here. Take a look at my list for details, anyway my favourite genres are seinen, phsycological, sci-fi. Sometimes I try shoonens, like FMA or JoJo, FMA is fine but disappointing, JoJo may be good, but not for me... The only shoonen I am excited for is SNK. |
| Started watching in my late teens, and have since entered my 20s. Still mostly retain my preferences for romance, comedy and drama. Unsure if my increasing indifference towards most shows coming out comes with age, increasing number of anime watched or a result of an increased volume of disappointing shows being hyped up by an evergrowing number of people who watch anime. Probably a mixture of all of the above, though unlike similar complaints I really don't struggle to find anime that I do enjoy watching when they do air. |
