I started out with this series well before it was licensed in the states. While I love the first season, it's really R2 that I love more, basically because of the latter half of the season starting with a certain Geass-users death. I thought I hated that character but when 'that character' died - I couldn't help but shed a tear. And oh man - the finale had me sobbing. Not since the end of Full Metal had I cried so much.
This series came close to replacing my fav. anime of all time which has consecutively been Evangelion for the past 7 years. It was merely the fact that the final episode was a little to vague and there seemed to be a sense of completion. That's why it didn't replace Evangelion. Because there was room for growth with that brand - I guess I'm just bitter because I wanted to see how Suzaku would handle the role of Zero. I mean - sure he was shown in passing, but that wasn't enough for me, I'm hoping for an OVA at least.
One of the few animes which had an ending that actually made me cry. That's quite the feat - I just love shojou - & this was so cute & sweet - & it had a great story to it.
Left off on a open-point.
I'm guessing there's probably going to be a second season but hopefully if that happens there will be less Matrix-style boob action.
It veers off from the original manga story-line and the ending is sort of so-so. However, overall, this anime is entertaining. I especially like the openings and endings. Yet, I still never could figure out if Chrona was a boy or a girl.
This was an odd series to say the least.
I watched it out of order without knowing it so I had to go back and re watch it as soon as I finished it. I really like this anime & it helps that it has a very memorable dance number to go with it. This series also introduced me to the books which the series was based off & after reading them I really hope they continue the series into the consecutive seasons following the books.
