Originally rated it a 6 because of unsatisfying ending/the fact that it unnecessarily subverted all my expectations of it being a shounen, power-rangers-like anime. However, in hindsight, even though plot was a bit contrived at times, the fact that it completely surprised me and made me hate the events is enough to warrant a 8.
