 ❄ ❄ ❄ ❄ The Waifu Brigade Newsletter Delivery ❄ ❄ ❄ ❄ Reli’s Farewell and new leader _______________________________________________________ Okay so we all know Reli has decided to step down as leader of our fine club, so in his place I(AlterKnightKing) just call me Alter have decided to take over so we can keep this club alive. I know no one can replace Reli but I will try my best to fill his shoes. Let us all wish Reli well as his life takes over. :) The Waifu Brigade Pokemon Adoption Thread Patch Notes: March _______________________________________________________ Let’s rock--one more time. •The Phoenix event So this month starting on the 5th and ending the last day of the month, each member can request 5 Phoenix eggs what these will contain is Flying and Fire type Pokemon that look like Birds, with 2 Lucky Members getting 1 Shiny Legendary 1 Moltres 1 Ho-oh. And just to make it clear you can only request these eggs once. March Polls: Resurrection ______________________________________________________________ So it’s only fitting, with the fresh take on the club this month’s Polls will be Resurrection! Basically any character that has either died or had their world destroyed and it all brought back to life. New Member Suggestions and Comments Thread and a phase out of the Points system for the time being ______________________________________________________________ So we will be adding a new thread for club members to leave suggestions, comments and complaints that they would like to bring to the attention of admins. Looking at it now the points system has no real organizer as it stands, with the current person in charge of it started work they don’t have the time to deal with it. And considering the only real use we have for points currently is the Pokemon game, we will be introducing a new method of evolving Pokemon and requesting eggs. First members can request to evolve a Pokemon daily, just 1 Pokemon but this is a step up from before. Now to request Pokemon will be much the same, but you may request 1 free Egg every 2 days, and all current methods of converting spare Pokemon for eggs will stand. Legendary Reroll will be changed to 1 Reroll every week at no cost to the club member. Anime of the Month! ________________________________________________________________ This month’s anime is: Blue Gender This is one of my personal favorite animes, though it’s an old one it’s definitely well worth the watch. When you’re completed with the show give your thoughts on it in the forum thread, but this month you’ll get a Legendary Pokemon, A Shiny Mew! Now there is of course the issue of possible abusing by someone just reading the plot and claiming they’ve watched it. Now I trust my clubbies greatly, however, let it be known that at any time I choose, I can question any member randomly about the series, what score they gave it, and why. These questions can also include critical plot elements and the regarding of character development. Trust me, I read, and write a lot of analysis of series, and am fairly confident of knowing when someone legitimately didn’t look into something deeply, but still watched it, or just read a synopsis online. If you’re the latter—you’ll be punished—heavily. ________________________________________________________________ |

Or at least is funny if you squint at it the right way. The staff woke up some weeks ago to find the point sheet for the club--GONE! Pooof. Just like that. Unfortunately, the club sheet has been deleted (hopefully) accidentally by former staff cleaning up their google docs. We take the blame for being short-sighted enough to let such a thing happen. However, unlike last time when the points were jacked up, instead of setting everyone back to zero, everyone gets 100 points. Yep. You all get 100 points. This provides points for those who needed them, and for the people who were far above that point, not to fear. You see, while it sounds like a lot of points, let’s please be realistic here-most clubbies only use points for User x Pokemon waifu adoption. You can only get 20 eggs a day there, along with a few rerolls costing points as well. While it sounds like you have a lot of points, there is a cap on how many points you can use a day. So, in the long run… your points will eventually become stagnant, even with the highest numbers. My point is, don’t worry, everything is OKAY….. Mafia Tip #12: Alignment changes Quite often, in mafia games, you may encounter terms or expressions that you don't understand. To appease this frustration, this section titled "Mafia tips" will introduce you to some of the mafia terms and such that might help you speak on the same level as some other players. Hopefully, not only you will be more knowledgeable but you will also be able to use these tips in the games! The subject of this month is Alignment changes! Alignment changes, while uncommon in normal set-ups can make for rather interesting games though the mechanic can bring up the matter of balance and are in most cases considered a bastard element. These can take the form of cults which can recruit throughout the game, or more simple ones in which there will be a one off change, this can be based on an activated ability or a passive trigger and in some cases this is hidden to the select player(s). Such a mechanic can throw most player off their game as it can render otherwise reliable sources that check ones alignment moot when held till after information is revealed. Once conversions such as cults become public knowledge, they hold the power to influence players to work towards dismissing their original win conditions once they believe the game favours being converted. This may lead to questionable conduct as far as playing to ones win condition is concerned. It can also lead to players ending up on what can feel like an undeserved loss if converted at an undesirable time. Conversions from Mafia to another faction should however be avoided, as it is near impossible to stop the leaking of information that would ruin the game state as a whole. For example; breeding a Charmander with another Charmander will give it a slight increase in the chance of it producing a shiny Pokemon. All throughout the month of November, anyone playing the Pokemon Adoption game can get two Pokemon eggs that are Absolutely random. And I do mean absolutely. It can drop the final evolution of a Pokemon, a legendary-or just a plain ole Magikarp. How do you get these eggs? Easy! Showing me something I like! :D Yep, that’s all you have to do. For instance, obviously-show me a picture of Kurome from Akame ga Kill in the thread and I will SURELY give you eggs. But here’s the trick; Nobody can show me the same thing twice. Nope. Nobody. Absolutely nobody. If someone show’s me a picture of Kurome-they were first-you cannot repeat it. Every time someone show’s me something it MUST be unique every time. So when you show me something, make sure NOBODY else has done so before. Now what these things you show me are? Figuring out what I like? That’s easy. There’s a wealth of information in my profile, hints everywhere in there as well; from comics; music I enjoy; it’s not that hard. You can also try and get very technical, in a sense. What do I mean? Let’s say someone post a picture of Dark Souls; you think you can’t post anything Dark Souls? Haha, oh no, that’d be silly. Think out of the box! You can also post a Dark Souls track from the games for me! But ah-ah, I may not like that specific entry in the soundtrack. If I don’t like something I will simply say so, no worries, you can always try again. ^^ You can only do this once per order, my dear clubbies. And you can only do this alongside an order, not by itself. Do whatever you can to learn about my interest, which wont be hard at all, considering how much I go on about them... • National Dunce Day!:... You will not believe the holidays I find researching for the events in this game… Anyway! On November 8th you can ask for a National Dunce Day Pokemon egg! Three specifically. What are these Pokemon? One’s that look pretty dark duncy-and-derpy! XD Such as Wyanut, Slowpoke, Grimer, etc. Just ask for em in the thread and you’ll receive them! ^^ •World Kindness Day!:Now this is something I can get behind. On November 14th you can request that a fellow clubby receives a “World Kindness Day Pokemon”, as a gift. They will receive three Pokemon eggs. :3 •Occult Day:...Yep, the things I discover. On November 18th you can request a “National Occult Day Egg Bunch.” Three ghost type Pokemon will be delivered to you. That’s basically it. Now if you excuse me I’m going to summon Azathoth, the Blind Idiot God. (oh look, a hint leading to things I like… ;3).. Or perhaps Nyarlathotep? O.o Nah, he’s too popular. <_< What? Were you expecting an event on Thanksgiving? Nah flock off with that noise. It’s my birthday, no thanks. Besides, spend time with your family instead of… ordering fictional Pokemon eggs on the internet. O.o See ya in the next section! November Character Polls: Giving Thanks! ______________________________________________________________ We have a very personal poll this month! :3 And each of our admins puts their hearts into it! :D …. Either that or had to dig deep and figure out they had a heart to begin with. <_< Us, the staff, picked characters that we wish to give thanks to for one reason or another, but is associated with the characters helping them in anyway through a rough time, or being touched by their characters or story in an emotional way. Something that reached out from the screen, or the pages, or whatever, and leapt to life-making a connection with the view. Let me give you an example of this from me; My choices were; Dante from Devil May Cry, because during my rather confused teenage years he really helped me get through life, and still does today. No matter how sad I get I go back and watch the DMC anime, perks me right up. Next, for my female, I picked Utena from Revolutionary Girl Utena for being an excellent female figure for others to look up to, that doesn't dissolve into her being powerful with a rather shallow personality and is obviously influenced by “The Male Gaze.” Something VERY rare in this medium (So like a better Ryuko from Kill la Kill-crucify me =.=). Get the general idea?Good. Legendary Exchange! ________________________________________________________________ So we have come up with a new method to use your legendary Pokemon, as you know you can turn 1 legendary into another using 20 points to do a legendary reroll. But now we will be introducing a way to turn your unwanted legendary for free into 5 Eggs, but the catch is you can only do it once per order, to limit the chance of trading 4 legendary in and getting another 4-5. In summary you trade 1 Legendary Pokemon for 5 Random Eggs. ________________________________________________________________ |

Event: Best Villain Nomination Thread This is a new event in which you can nominate antagonists you like to eventually encourage their win in a tournament to determine which anime/manga antagonist the users like the best! Thread here! Mafia Tip #11: Mountainous Quite often, in mafia games, you may encounter terms or expressions that you don't understand. To appease this frustration, this section titled "Mafia tips" will introduce you to some of the mafia terms and such that might help you speak on the same level as some other players. Hopefully, not only you will be more knowledgeable but you will also be able to use these tips in the games! The term of this month is Mountainous! Mountainous is a term given to setups that have no power roles at all (in other words, no abilities for any role). The name has acquired the connotation that these games are "difficult" due to the lack of power roles helping Town. A classic mountainous setup has a 10:2 or 11:2 ratio of townies:mafia. It has long been a setup that relies exclusively on player skill. The balance of this setup is highly suspect, though, as the Town's theoretical win rate is only 33.2% - almost the same as Town winning a 2:1 situation. Example role PMs Welcome, [Player Name].  Hello! This is the Mafia Society's September Newsletter! New Member? Welcome! ^^ You can always introduce yourself Here.  A Fresh Triumvirate  Something old, something blue, something borrowed. Does that sound like a wedding?We're sorry to break it to you, but Mafia Society is where you kill your friends in the journey to find evil, not a place for weddings. Still, we have a happy announcement! It's a unification! It's a triumvirate! Jackrito, our cool, mysterious, scummy leader has stepped down. But worry not! It has been unanimously decided that Suzune-chan, Kaitou, and Crossbell will be stepping up to lead the club together. They have put themselves forward when MS needed them, and showed how much they care for the club. Please throw confetti to their feet and shower them with love~ Now, a few words from our newly elected leaders:  "I didn’t fight my way to the top of the food chain to be a vegetarian" - Kaitou -  "I have been many things, but being the mafia mom is always the most enjoyable~" - Suzune-chan -  "This guy really, really cares about mafia. Maybe too much." - Crossbell - Through the Years, an Open Letter   They have been with us from the start, and now they have to go. Jackrito, for all the dedication, love and attention you've put into the club since its creation, thank you. You've held on when it was rough, and you've held on even when you couldn't. You've led it, and made it a place we all come to love and we will never forget that. Soren, you have meticulously put in a lot of effort to make the club better. You've made members feel welcomed and allowed us to find ourselves at our own pace, while keeping a cool vibe in the club. A A Kingmaker is a player who can influence a faction's win but unable to win himself. In many important instances, they decide which faction wins. In cases involving Survivors, a Kingmaker might be guaranteed to win, instead of incapable of winning. BKingmaker are often associated with Dilemma scenarios such as: (Assuming that the identities of scum players (or just townies) are known.) Three-player endgame: One Townie, one Mafioso, and one Serial Killer. Four-player endgame: Two Townies, one Mafioso, and one Serial Killer. Five-player endgame: One Townie, and two Mafiosi each from different factions. Six-player endgame: Two Townies and two Mafiosi each from different factions. An example of this in MS would be the endgame for The Ultimate Anime Showdown 2 where town Mkim was the decisive vote between two mafia of opposite faction. And you will get one psychic, and one Ice type egg. This time we have a rather niche section; characters from the fall season of anime… yep, generally just anime that have aired in the fall season, in all years of anime. So given the task of picking the anime of the month for this month, after a lengthy process of beating my head against the wall, it was decided Claymore shall be the anime of the month. My personal favorite anime, and I hope you all will enjoy it as well! Completion of the anime of the month this time will be 25 points for first time watchers, and 35 for anyone completing it again. When you’re completed with the show give your thoughts on it in the forum thread, and, bingo, you get your points. :3 Now there is of course the issue of possible abusing by someone just reading the plot and claiming they’ve watched it. Now I trust my clubbies greatly, however, let it be known that at any time I choose, I can question any member randomly about the series, what score they gave it, and why. These questions can also include critical plot elements and the regarding of character development. Trust me, I read, and write a lot of analysis of series, and am fairly confident of knowing when someone legitimately didn’t look into something deeply, but still watched it, or just read a synopsis online. If you’re the latter—you’ll be punished—heavily. New Evolution Emporium Thread ~ ________________________________________________________________ As some of you may have noticed to make the process of evolution easier for everyone we have created a new thread for you to do forme changes, evolutions and Mega/Primal evolutions. A Goodie bag filled with 25 points, 5 Eggs you can even request the type for(Not picking Legendary/Shiny eggs, that’s for later) (Admins will get 40 points and 10 type eggs as a special thank you) and a special badge made by our Admin Red_Salmon(In time hopefully.) Now if you’re still with me here onto the next announcement for this month. We will be holding a Raffle of sorts for the month of September, Clubbies will be given 1 Ticket every 5 days of posting in the Raffle thread where you will pick a number so people won’t be sharing a reward! Prizes will be drawn on the 30th of September. And as a special bonus everyone that posts will be given 1 free ticket their first post for a total of 2 tickets on your first post. And remember how I said something about picking Legendary and Shiny Pokemon? There will be 3 tiers of prizes with the 1st and 2nd tiers giving you the chance at choosing!  Hello! This is the Mafia Society's August Newsletter! New Member? Welcome! ^^ You can always introduce yourself here. New Games Attack on Titan Mafia S2 (ongoing) hosted by Coelestin Join the Survey Corps on the journey towards freedom. But beware, the enemy is hiding in your own ranks... Opfert eure Herzen! Hydra Mafia (ongoing) hosted by _Claire_ and Togs A hydra game is one where each two players are paired into a single account with which both will post. Thus, with 9 roles in play, there are 18 participants, all trying to balance their reads between the two players of each hydra account to come to a conclusion on its alignment. This particular game is run on Discord, where multi-accounting is more forgiven, but it is possible to ask the host for a spectator seat if you have a Discord account yourself. Thread here! Mafia Tip #9: Compulsive Role Quite often, in mafia games, you may encounter terms or expressions that you don't understand. To appease this frustration, this section titled "Mafia tips" will introduce you to some of the mafia terms and such that might help you speak on the same level as some other players. Hopefully, not only you will be more knowledgeable but you will also be able to use these tips in the games! The term of this month is compulsive! Compulsive is a role modifier such that the role must use its Night Action each Night unless some external factor prevents the player from doing so. A player with a Compulsive action cannot submit "No Action", and if they fail to submit an action, the player is either modkilled or the action/the action's target is randomized. The most common role with this modifier is Vigilante. The Compulsive modifier is generally used to ensure that actions are used when possible. This is usually ascribed to roles that are pivotal to the setup. By making a Vigilante Compulsive, the rate of death can be controlled throughout the game, thus allowing the game to be easier to balance. We’ve had a slight bit of issues keep track of points due to my point-tracking-buddy, being unaware of when some people get points or not. Let’s get started. •Egg Order Cap: I would LOVE for you guys to be able to order 50 eggs at once, I really do. However, the issue isn’t time… it’s my hand. O.o Guys, I’m doing this by myself, I’m generating every single Pokemon you order, by myself. In the course of about a week, I probably get about… over 100 egg orders. No, probably closer to 130. This is tiresome on my right hand, to the point it gets very painful with massive orders. Henceforth, for my own health, you can now only order 20 eggs, and 10 evolutions at a time. Event eggs don’t count towards this. Hope you understand. • A few changes:Manaphy, Phione, and Marshadow are now classified as legendaries. So don’t try to request them specifically again in events that exclude legendaries from being picked. :D • National Friendship Day: Haha. Ah, this one’s gonna be fun… for me specifically, may be complicated for you guys. August 6th is; National Friendship Day! What does that mean for you? You and your friend can get some event Pokemon eggs! :D Here’s how it works. To get these eggs; you need to order with someone on your friend’s list. How do you do that? Example below: Post 1 (phil): “Requesting two National Friendship Day Eggs with *Bob!*” Post 2 (bob): “Requesting two National Friendship Day Eggs with; *Phil*” To request these eggs, you need someone on your friends list to request right below you. Yes, this is true. You two must order a team. If this is done, both of you will get two eggs; but here’s a kicker I haven’t told you about. Both can also get any Pokemon besides a legendary, mega pokemon, or ultra beast; at any stage of evolution; but cannot be shiny; for absolutely free; but you both must agree on what that Pokemon will be. In this case, let’s say, Bob and Phil both want a Gyarados. They both get a Gyarados. Meaning, they get two random eggs from the event, and a new Pokemon they both agreed on. To round it up: 1. You must order with someone on your friend’s list. Yeah, I know what you guys are probably gonna think; “I’LL JUST RANDOMLY FRIEND THIS PERSON IN THE CLUB I HAVEN’T TALKED TO TO GET MY EGGS!” Haha. You clever little clubbies, not that simple. I’m quite the stalker when I need to be, if you haven’t been friends with this person for at least a month, and or had some conversations (let’s say at least enough to fill one page), wont work. 2. You must order within in each other. Your friend must post above, or below you, exactly. Synchronized, if you will. This is the prime requirement. Not met? No eggs. 3. Also, to get these eggs, you MUST agree on what the third Pokemon you both will get. Both of you must also say what Pokemon this will be. Doesn’t match? No eggs, or Pokemon. 4. Oh yeah, forgot to mention, one of you will get a shiny version of that Pokemon. So I suggest you two friend’s order a Pokemon you both would want as a shiny. Get it? Got it? … Kind of? Good enough! See you on the 6th! :3 • National Lighthouse Day!: The things you discover exist, huh? O.o On the 7th of August, simply ask for a; “National Lighthouse Egg.” You’ll get two electric Pokemon eggs. ^^ • National Creamsicle Day!: Third verse… somewhat similar to the… second.. I’ll shut up. On August 14th, request a; “National Creamsicle Day Egg.” And you’ll get two free ice type eggs. Have fun! :D • National Mosquito Day! …… Wait, what?!: Seriously, what?! Meta, short for metagame, is a term for the knowledge of how a player or moderator will act based on previous experience. It only makes sense that people will pick up on, say, an ordinarily active player lurking in the games where they are scum. Likewise, some moderators state outright that they will never use Cops in their games. The application of this kind of knowledge is called metagaming, or more strainedly "metaing". This is simply extrapolating the existing meta knowledge to the current game. In the case of the active player who only lurks as scum, it makes sense to extend that to say that if they are lurking in the present game, they are more likely to be scum and should be treated accordingly. Likewise in the case of the moderator who does not use Cops, if one of the players in their game claims Cop, players will be much more apt to consider it a false claim. Players who manage to bring about the appearance of looking and behaving the same way regardless of alignment become tough to read, as they are best judged by their actions in thread. This takes time to do, which means that these players are frequently not lynched Day 1. ❄ ❄ ❄ ❄ The Waifu Brigade Newsletter Delivery ❄ ❄ ❄ ❄ The Waifu Brigade Pokemon Adoption Thread Patch Notes: July _______________________________________________________ We have something really exciting! … Well, to me personally. <.< For the Pokemon game in the club, a new way to get eggs! That is…. Look down below! ^^ •Pokemon Breeding: A very tricky mechanic I’ve been tinkering and toying with ever since I created this game. However, after struggling with it for months, I finally believe I have implemented a system I am satisfied with. Pokemon Breeding will be a new way you, my dear clubbies, can get a random Pokemon! … Well, kind of “random.” Also, and mind you, this is going to be a bit hard to explain, as well as do, so, it’s a mechanic in the game for the more “dedicated”, or “hardcore”, as it were, of you. Let’s get started explaining how it works. Step by Step. Step 1: The first thing you’ll need to do is learn about “egg groups”, in Pokemon. Something, funny enough, is not known by a lot of more casual players. There are fourteen egg groups in all, fifteen if we count a unique egg group in Pokemon stadium. To initiate Pokemon Breeding, in Pokemon Adoption, you will need to give us two of your Pokemon with matching egg groups. For example; let’s take a simple Tyranitar. For those who don’t know, Tyranitar exist in the “Monster” egg group. Therefore, it can breed with an Aggron, which also exist in the Monster egg group. However, the egg group doesn’t need to be; exact, if you will. You see, a single Pokemon can be in more than one egg group. O.o Time for another example. We will now take a; Raticate. A Raticate exist in the; “Field” egg group. Now we’ll take an Arbok. Arbok exist in both the Field, and; “Dragon” egg group. Even so, Raticate can still mate with it, and produce an offspring… Hey, don’t look at me. I’m the biologist, and I still don’t know how that works. <.< Time for Step 2. Step 2: Now you have two Pokemon that match in egg groups. You are to relinquish these two Pokemon to us, for approximately five days. You can do this by giving both Pokemon to us in the “Pokemon Daycare Thread.” That should, hopefully, be released by the time this newsletter goes out, so I don’t look like an idiot…. Step 3: After five days have passed, you can have both your Pokemon back, or leave them in the daycare. Either way, you will also get a baby Pokemon, a random one at that, that exist in the, or one of the ( in case there are multiple egg groups) egg groups. For another example; if you were to breed a Goldeen with a Sharpedo, they can create a Luvdisc. Okay, got it…? Maybe not. But just test around with it for a bit so me and the others running the game can view the results, and see if we need to possibly polish up the idea a bit more. Time for one more step that highlights a few specific details. Step 4: Some Pokemon cannot breed together. For instance; Nidoking cannot breed with another Nidoking. Nor can a Miltank breed with another Miltank… Hey, I’m gay and lesbian friendly, folks, but it’s just science, they cannot breed an offspring. Granted, that’s not every nuance in what Pokemon cannot breed together, and, to be honest, I’m not sure of all of them myself. Let’s just see how this works, and I’ll develop a list of them overtime. Breeding two of the same Pokemon will always cause them to reproduce the same, or a baby Pokemon as the parents. Two Charizards will always produce a Charmander. Here’s the kicker… Breeding two of the same Pokemon, will have a higher chance of reproducing a shiny Pokemon. First of all, breeding Pokemon already very, very slightly, increases the rate it’ll be a shiny Pokemon. However, you will receive an increased shiny rate, if you were to breed two Gyarados’s, and, just perhaps; get a shiny Magikarp. Now I’m not telling you what specific, percentage increase you get, just know… it’s increased. ;3 Speaking of percentages. Breeding with multiple egg groups can have mixed results. Let’s do some math, as much as I despise it. We are going to take a Steelix, and a Frosslas. The dominating gene, if you will, is “Mineral.” Both Pokemon can only breed, because both of them exist in the “Mineral” egg group. However, Frosslas also exist in the “Fairy” egg group. Meaning there is a chance, they could produce a Pokemon, not in the Mineral Group at all, but Fairy. However, that only has a 25% chance. Let’s mix and match even more. We will now take a Dragonite. It exist in the Dragon egg group, as well as; “Water 1” egg group. That’s two. We will breed it with a Seviper. Seviper exist in the Dragon, and “Field” egg group. Altogether…. That’s 4 egg groups mixing in. O.o In this instance, there is a 50% chance the offspring will be in the Dragon egg group, but a 25% chance it will produce a Pokemon in the Water 1 egg group, and another 25% for it to be in the Field egg group… Lot’s of variables, right? Legendary Pokemon, besides Manaphy, cannot breed! Only full adult Pokemon can breed. Larvitar cannot breed, Pupitar cannot breed; only Tyranitar can. Magikarp cannot breed; only Gyarados can breed. If a Pokemon has two evolutions, only itss final evolution can breed. If it has one evolution, only its first evolution can breed. Pokemon Breeding is absolutely free. BUT! You cannot have more than two Pokemon in the daycare at the same time… let’s not get too perverted, people. <.< And I… think that’s about it for now. Have fun with the new system! :D And learn those egg groups! And I hope your head doesn’t hurt from all that math… at least mine does. =-= • National Bikini Day!: WOOHOO! My kind of holiday! Yep, this exist - and I love it! Google it right now, even! Besides that, on July 5th you can get three free random water type eggs. This very vehement game is underway... Spectate here! Mafia Tip #7: Breadcrumbing Quite often, in mafia games, you may encounter terms or expressions that you don't understand. To appease this frustration, this section titled "Mafia tips" will introduce you to some of the mafia terms and such that might help you speak on the same level as some other players. Hopefully, not only you will be more knowledgeable but you will also be able to use these tips in the games! The term of this month is breadcrumbing! A breadcrumb is a subtle and concealed reference to your own role, actions, or results. As such, it is a way to soft-claim your role, and to reveal sensitive information without making it evident to everyone that you're doing so. Another advantage to breadcrumbing is that it provides reliance to any claim you make later on - if you claim to be a particular role and show a breadcrumb from very early in the game that reinforces your claim, it directly implies that you have been preparing to make this claim from the beginning of the game. Scum have been known to breadcrumb roles as well; if the role they breadcrumbed became inconvenient to claim, they simply do not point them out later. Lastly, an obvious breadcrumb, much like any role claim will draw the scum's attention and could place that player at the top of the list of players they have an interest in killing, so be careful. Welcome! ^^ You can always introduce yourself Here Mafia Championship  The Mafia Championship is an annual online tournament series that pits representatives from various forum Mafia (aka Werewolf) communities against one another as they compete to determine the Internet’s greatest forum Mafia player. Each participating community democratically elects one person to represent them and become their “Champion”. We are being Represented by The Methodical Crossbell Post 531 in this MTG Thread explains how Cross plays mafia pretty accurately.New Games  Pyro Games V10 (Rainbow Six Siege) Hosted by Sadistic Host Pyro. Game is pretty simple setup with Rainbow Six Siege characters and there also appears some characters from past games. Mafia Tip#6: Anti Town Vs Town This really should seem obvious, but don't do things that are blatantly anti-Town unless you're sure you know what you're doing. Some examples would be claiming very early in the game (especially unprompted and especially if you are a power role), disobeying the Town when your actions are being "directed", faking an obstructive post restriction, etc. Some sample reasons given for doing these sorts of things include attempts to start discussion, spite, or attempting to uphold a meta ("well you should have known better; I always do this"). I believe I’ve finally cracked the code. You clubbies will now have the ability to trade in legendary Pokemon, in exchange, you will get a new one, random new one, at that. However, there is a price to pay for this rule more than just exchanging the egg back and forth until you get a new one, as you would with the non-legendary Pokemon’s. To exchange a legendary, you will need 20 points, and this can only be done once a week, you’ll have to wait till another in order to do this process again. • Mother’s Day: Kangaskhan event!: Ah, what greater joy is there than being a Mother? I’m sure that’s what the ole Kangaskhan thinks too. On Mother’s day, A.K.A, the 14th of May, all clubbies will be able to receive a free Kangaskhan by simply requesting one. Kicker is—one of you will receive a shiny! ^^ Have fun, getting a free Pokemon. ^^ • Memorial Day: Even in Pokemon, we remember those who fought. On the day of the 29th of May, you will be able to receive a free fighting type Pokemon of random choice, because we remember the fighters. Not much else to say, let’s move on. To uh…. Nothing, because these patch notes are over…. Next! Club Point Reset _________________________________________________________________ Yeah, you heard me, the club points are going to be reset as for now. They “May”, return to their original states in the future, however, as of now, the whole sheet has fallen into decadence, it’s chaos, and the updates are entirely random. So, for now, everyone is going right back down to zero points. Yes, I know you’ll be mad, yes, I know it’s… Rather unfair. However, this is the only way to make the system better, and not fall back into chaos again. A wise man (video game character) once said; “Burn the old world, for the sake of the next one.” And so I shall. Once again, your points may be returned to you, may, but only after order has been established once more. This is not the fault of any of you, but me and the admins ourselves. Hope you won’t be too mad, and thanks for understanding. . . . And I’ll give you a bit of compensation. From May 5th-May8th, any clubby can request five free random eggs. Since those are by far the easiest thing for me to produce, it’s alright, I can handle it, and you guys can get something in return as well. Hope that’ll sate ya. The bunnies came knocking at our door to tell us that Easter is coming. We wish all of our members happy holidays and many eggs! A themed mafia game will be held soon in the club to celebrate - previous holiday-themed games which include the Christmas one and the Valentine's one had been good successes thanks to the interesting set-ups and of course the spirited players who enjoy them. Alongside the game will also be opened a card edition. If you're a collector, you can't miss out on that~   New Games Sailor Moon Mafia (open sign-ups) hosted by Soren This is a simple setup mafia game complemented by the Sailor Moon universe (hosted in the forums). It is perfect for new players, and a few Mafia Society regulars will be participating and be able to help out. Sign up here! Castle Panic (ongoing) hosted by aa-dono and SoulEaterQUEEN Castle Panic is a cult-themed mafia game where infections spread during the night and the villagers must weed out those who are infected by zombies or brainwashed by a magic society banned from their small town. The cult is a third-party group (one which does not belong to the mafia nor the townies) that seeks to recruit players into itself. The recruitment is done by a Cult Leader who typically starts the game by being alone in his so-called cult. Each Night, he can recruit one player into his Cult; the recruited players henceforth lose their previous role identities (and their alignment of either mafia or townie) and become Cultists. The Cult is a rather passive group since it does not do any killing, however it can take over the game very quickly - if it is not exterminated within the first two game Days, it almost inevitably wins (according to statistics). The Cult wins when it comprises half of the player list, at which time it controls the lynch votes. Recruited Cultists usually do not have the ability to recruit players themselves, so if the Cult Leader dies, the Cultists are defenseless but must survive until they attain a majority. This can be difficult to do, especially if the Cult Leader only lives long enough to recruit one Cultist. Some hosts allow Cultists to recruit players if the Cult Leader dies. However, this becomes completely impossible to balance, as there is virtually no chance of the Cult ever being completely wiped out. A problem arises when a mafia member is recruited into a Cult, because he could ruin the game by telling who his mafia buddies were. Some hosts kill off the member instead of making him recruited, others leave him alive but replace him with a new player who doesn't know who the other mafia members are, others just let it slide and aren't bothered by the potential exposition of the whole mafia team, and others simply don't include a mafia faction in the game to begin with. O--o Actually, don’t answer. Seems Halloween-Esque-horror has come early this year. On Friday the 13th all the little ghouls and goblins will come out, A.K.A, the chances of Dark, Poison, and Ghost type Pokemon spawning from random type eggs drastically increases. If you order an egg on this day, chances are you’re going to get one. ^^ • Opposite day: I’m gonna have… way too much fun with this one. For those who don’t know, April 26th is; Opposite Day. In honor of this event, we’re going to have an “Opposite Day Event” in the thread. To do this, well, I’ll give you an example. Let’s say my randomizers give you a fire type Pokemon…. I’m giving you a water type. Let’s say you get a flying type, I’m changing it to an electric type. If it’s a grass type, I’m giving you fire. Psychic, I’m giving you dark. And so on, and so on, and so on throughout the typings. Basically, what I’m trying to say is, whatever you get, I’m twisting the type of Pokemon to it’s very opposite element. Beware, this also applies if you request a specific type of Pokemon using points. If you request normal type eggs, you’re getting fighting. Steel, you’re getting fire/fighting. Keep on your guard, because everything you know will be twisted and turned on this day. :P • Easter Egg Hatching Event:Right when the current newsletter, A.K.A, the one you’re currently reading, comes out, you will be able to request an Easter Egg in the adoption thread. Doing so will give you one free egg…. That will not hatch any time soon, that is. :P However, on March 27th, A.K.A, Easter, the egg will hatch, and you will receive the sprite by me personally. Here’s the thing: You can choose what Pokemon you want…. Seriously, you can, anything besides a legendary Pokemon or Ultra Beast, and you will receive it. The only limitations are that it must be in its first form. We hope that you had enjoyed our Valentine's event! No worries if you didn't participate this time, you are always welcome to join next time! Mafia Tip #4: LyLo and MyLo Lynch-or-Lose, or LyLo, is a game state wherein the Town must lynch scum during the present Day phase or they will lose the game (often by being endgamed by scum). It is also called Lynch-right-or-lose. It is generally easy to tell when a game is in LyLo because there will only be one more Town player alive than the number of scum. For instance, if there are five players alive and two of them are scum (thus three of them are Town), the game is in LyLo. This can be adjusted for the presence of multiple killing groups, but the premise remains the same. Mislynch-and-Lose, or MyLo, is a game state where the Town will lose if it mislynches during the present Day phase. MyLo usually happens when there are only two townies more than the number of mafia (ex. 2-4 or 3-5). This is different from LyLo in that LyLo requires the Town to lynch correctly, whereas in MyLo the Town is still afforded the opportunity to No Lynch without forfeiting the game (though this generally makes the next Day LyLo). While the opportunity for No Lynch is available in MyLo, whether it should be done is a different question. On the upside, by refusing to lynch the Town may be able to give its investigative roles another chance to work their magic. On the downside, if the Town has already massclaimed or if there are no roles that can make use of the Night remaining, opting not to lynch will simply give the scum a free kill on the Townie who is most likely to help the Town lynch correctly at LyLo. ❄ ❄ ❄ ❄ The Waifu Brigade Newsletter Delivery ❄ ❄ ❄ ❄ The Waifu Brigade Pokemon Adoption Thread Patch Notes: March _______________________________________________________ Pick a Badge! •Type Loyalty!: Each club member may request for the entire month of March 1 type badge, consisting of the eighteen Pokemon types currently in the games. These types, and in-turn badges, being: Normal; Water; Electric; Grass; Fire; Fighting; Ghost; Ice; Psychic; Rock; Poison; Steel; Ground; Dark; Bug; Flying; Dragon; and Fairy. What happens once you get this badge of yours? Well, it’ll be attached to you for the whole month, and having it will significantly increase the drop rate of Pokemon corresponding with the type of badge in your possession. For instance, have a Fire type badge? Your chances of getting a Fire type Pokemon increases. Same with any other type as well. But guess what? This slightly increases the drop rate of all Pokemon in the typing of your badge… including legendary ones. :3 If ever so slightly… Now, you do not have to participate in this event, but if you do, know that once you have the badge the effect cannot be deactivated, unless you want to turn the badge in altogether. Do that, and you’re not getting it back, you also cannot pick another type once you’ve locked yourself into a badge and Pokemon type. So, clubbies, have fun. :3 •International Women’s Day Event!: Believe it or not, this is an actual holiday. O-o Anyway! On the 8th of March is International Women’s Day! In honor of this event, on that date every club member will be able to receive a free Pokemon—not “egg”, mind you, Pokemon. Fully evolved ones even. The catch is…. They’re all Pokemon that can only be the female gender by the game’s, and universes very mechanics. So, on the 8th of March just post this symbol; “ ♀” And that’s all you need to get yourself a free, female Pokemon. Now the list of possible Pokemon that can drop for doing this on this specific date is… • Blissy • Bounsweet • Chansey • Cresselia (Extremely rare drop) • Flabebe • Floette • Florges • Froslass • Happiny • Illumise • Jynx • Kangaskhan • Latias (Extremely rare drop) • Lilligant • Mandibuzz • Milktank • Nidoqueen • Nidoran • Nidorina • Petili • Salazzle • Smoochum • Steenee • Tsareena • Vespiquen • Vullaby • Wormadam • St. Patrick’s Day Event!: My god, you guys are getting a lot of free stuff. If you attend these movie nights, and watch the movie from beginning to end with us, congrats, you’re going to get 15 points at the start of the month, A.K.A the first Saturday at the start of the week, if you attend, and, if you attend every movie night afterwards all the way to the weekend ad the end of the month, you get 30 points! :3 So try to join us if you can, because who doesn’t like free stuff?! :D Anime of the Month! ________________________________________________________________ Introducing; Anime of the Month! :D A new forum game able to be viewed, as well as participated in by club members. Every month the club and its members will be presented with a new anime to watch. They are to complete the anime by the end of the month, if they do they will be awarded a set amount of club points for completing the series, this amount can be found in the thread. This month’s anime is: Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita, A.K.A, Humanity has Declined. And if you have already completed it, congrats, if you rewatch it, you’ll also be awarded points, but ten more. When you’re completed with the show give your thoughts on it in the forum thread, and, bingo, you get your points. :3 Now there is of course the issue of possible abusing by someone just reading the plot and claiming they’ve watched it. Now I trust my clubbies greatly, however, let it be known that at any time I choose, I can question any member randomly about the series, what score they gave it, and why. These questions can also include critical plot elements and the regarding of character development. Trust me, I read, and write a lot of analysis of series, and am fairly confident of knowing when someone legitimately didn’t look into something deeply, but still watched it, or just read a synopsis online. If you’re the latter—you’ll be punished—heavily. To obtain it, join the Discord chat, and just mention me, but be sure to verify your MAL account in the channel, and follow the chat rules. :3 Also, for those who have already joined the Discord chat before this patch, good job, you guys get 2 random eggs instead. •Shuuka Egg: For those who may not be aware, our previous graphics designer for the club Aeluriel, has retired from graphics design work for us to pursue her interest. She will be missed greatly, and I can tell you she was a blast to work with. Fun to be around, and without a doubt the most efficient out of all of us, even me. ^-^ If you’re looking for a graphics designer, and if she has free time, I highly recommended her. However, in her stead we now have; “Shuuka.” A lovely gal who is now an official part of our staff as our new graphics designer. In honor of her joining the Brigade, for the 5th of February, A.K.A today, everyone will be able to receive a free a with an Ice Type Pokemon by simply requesting a: “Shuuka Egg”, which is Shuuka’s favorite Pokemon Type. Enjoy, clubbies, and grab em up, they only last today. • Month of Love: Febby, clubbies! The month of love, of that warm fuzzy feeling in your heart. There are many ways this feeling can occur, one of them is by… Well, just looking at something cute. So, in honor of this wonderful time of the year, there will be a 20% for any clubby getting any egg to receive a “cute”, Pokemon, and will increase by 2.5% for every egg afterwards. Mind you, I am deadly serious when I say “any”, egg can increase the chance of getting a “cute” Pokemon. You know… Like the Discord event egg? Shuuka egg? That could be easily stacked, don’t ya think? :3 Still, there is a limit, well, two. This modifier can only occur once per order. Also... This modifier will only be in place every three days. So, to make it basic, here are the days this month where the modifier can actually get you a free egg: 5th, 8th, 11th, 14th, 17th, 20th, 23rd, 26th, 28th (i know I’m cheating with the last day, quiet) Got it….?
