Toradora!
Wow. I haven't written an anime blog in a long, long time. And I'm only going to mention one anime in this one.
I've never been a huge fan of romantic comedies. They usually get scores around 6 or 7 if I find them particularly amusing. But this one scored a perfect 10 and, as such has scored a place on my list of favorites. And for a romantic comedy to do that...
Well... obviously, I have thoroughly enjoyed this series. I just finished it, and I miss it already. Now... to just wait on the licensing. ^__^

Water Logged
4 days of rain ... 3 days of either tornado watches or warnings ... one very close call as a tornado touched down on Saturday in a spot I had been just 15 minutes earlier ...
I count myself blessed, and lucky ... but damn, I'm ready for some sun shine. :3

More Anime Stuff
Anime Relations: Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu, Air, Saiyuuki Reload Gunlock, Terra e... (TV), Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch R2, xxxHOLiC◆Kei, Kure-nai, Vampire Knight, Monochrome Factor
Doing this quickly... 'cuz... my life is too busy lately.
Let's see... FINALLY fiinished Card Captor Sakura and what can I say? I enjoyed the hell out of this series. One of the best endings... EVER!!! =^__^= And to think... I almost wrote it off as a kid's anime. I also finished Air. Not as good as Kanon 2006, but good. A couple of nice wet eye moments.
Almost finished with Saiyuki Reload: Gunlock from Netflix. It's about on par with all the other seasons of this show. They Saiyuki guys, for me, are kinda like a warm fuzzy blanket that I can wrap up in when I need a smile. I don't know what I'm gonna do, now that I've finished w/ everything Saiyuki. O_o Next on my list... from Netflix... Full Metal Panic: FUMOFFU. I've heard great things. I hope I won't be disappointed.
Currently watching hasn't changed. My favorites are still Code Geass R2 and xxxHolic. And of course, the pretty boy vampires from Vampire Knight are right up there. I've actually kind of grown attached to Kure-nai as well. It's gotten good. Just a little slow starting at first. And the jury is still out on Monochrome Factor. I'm watching that one because I let my daughter talk me into it. >_< D.Grayman has gotten really really good. Bleach is currently on hold until they get through the filler crap. ><
Finally, I'm downloading Terra e. Again, I've heard really really good things about this one. We will have to see. ^_^
Well, I'm late leaving for work... gotta jet. ::huggles all::

Even more anime...
Anime Relations: Kenpuu Denki Berserk, Air, Saiyuuki Reload Gunlock, Mahou Sensei Negima!, Cardcaptor Sakura, Bleach, Tenkuu no Shiro Laputa, D.Gray-man, Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch R2, xxxHOLiC◆Kei, Kure-nai, Vampire Knight, Monochrome Factor
...continuation... anime blog...
Well, well. Let's see. Where to start?
Berserk finally finished. Great series. Unless you depend on closure. This one doesn't close. Hell, it doesn't even finish at the point of the first episode. WTF?!? Great series, though. I guess, eventually, if I want to continue with the Griffith and Guts saga, I'm gonna have to pick up the manga *groan*. The ending of the series was quite a disappointment.
I also finished Negima through Netflix. Meh. Cute, but nothing to get all excited or to write home about. It didn't spark any interest to pick up the manga, for me, either.
Card Captor Sakura still going on... but less than 10 episodes to go. Yay. We were supposed to watch more tonight, but some unexpected visitors showed up to PS2 with Chelsea.
My newest series: Saiyuki Reload: Gunlock. Just got my first 2 discs in the mail from Netflix. Can't put in a vote, because I haven't watched any yet. But if the first 2 seasons are any indication, I will enjoy it, I'm sure.
eta: I almost forgot, speaking of Netflix. I watched "Castle in the Sky." Miyuzaki strikes gold again. Definitely a Ghibli film worth watching. ^_^
I'm also currently d/l'ing Air. I've heard great things. I'll probably start on that one tonight or tomorrow. After watching and loving Kanon 2006, I'm really looking forward to this.
As far as the currently airing stuff, not much has changed. Bleach and D. Grayman... same same. (God, I hope these don't turn into Narutos).
The favorites of my currents: xxxHolic Kei and Code Geass 2. Awesome, awesome series'. Everyone should watch these 2 series. Damn near perfection.
Vampire Knight is right up there for me too. Really good series... but no WOW factor, as of yet.
As far as Kure-nai and Monochrome Factor are concerned, the jury is still out. Not ready to drop. I am slightly enjoying these, but not wowed by them.
So there you have it.

My Mother's Day Gift to Myself
Aaaahhhh... Saturday. No work, no troubles, and a day of fun planned. Megan was spending the day with her b/f, and Sarah was doing whatever Sarah does (<3 DE) so Chelsea and I decided to have a "girl's day out."
Since she got a PS2 a few weeks ago (the first time I've been able to get the twins any kind of game console), I told her that she could choose what she wanted to do... go see a movie (she wanted to see the 2nd Narnia movie) or pick 2 used games at GameStop. She, of course, chose the games.
So, about 10:30, we set out. GameStop was our first stop. After parusing the titles available, she decided on Harvest Moon: It's a Wonderful Life and Kingdom Hearts. Then we went across the street to Kohl's and picked up a couple of new shirts for both of the girls.
Then it was off to the Mall, and lunch at Ruby Tuesday's. Yum. Since we were at the Mall, we decided to walk around and do a little window shopping. Then, the store that is my weakness: F.Y.E. and all the anime merchandise. Chelsea and I each got our own Death Note t-shirts w/ L on the front. She got a box of pocky and some japanese drink that I can't remember the name of right now.
Then it was off to Wal-Mart to pick up a few necessities, and then home. She's been on her PS2 ever since we got home. She actually thanked me for the day and said she really enjoyed herself. ^_^ And that made my day.

So much anime...
Anime Relations: Kenpuu Denki Berserk, Beck, Cardcaptor Sakura, Gungrave, Bleach, Aria the Animation, D.Gray-man, Negima!?, Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch R2, xxxHOLiC◆Kei, Vampire Knight, Monochrome Factor
Boy, when I get back into anime... I get INTO anime. I'm making up for lost time recently by catching up on all my Bleach and D. Grayman. I had hoped to finish up CCS, but since I have to watch that with my child, I'm at the mercy of her schedule and irrational whims... lol.
I picked up and finished Gungrave and Aria at the recommendation of 2 of my bestest MAL friends (thank you Cate and Archaeon... great series, both of them). I loved Gungrave so much, that I picked up Berserk, because of the similarity recommendations. I'm only 2 episodes in, but I think I'm going to like this one.
I also do Netflix. I started and finished Beck. It was good. Not 'superb' or 'have to see' kind of good. But it was a nice lil' slice of life anime. I'd recommend it, if you have nothing else pressing you want to watch. And of course, since it's Netflix, I watched the dubbed version *ducks the flying tomatoes*. But I have to say, the dubs on this were actually quite good (with the exception of 1 or 2 side charachters). Next up from Netflix will be Negima because Chelsea wants to see it. *sigh*
I'm watching 4 currently airing series: Code Geass 2 (naturally), xxxHolic Kei (which, I have to say, so far, is better than the original season), Vampire Knight (just because I love vampire stories... and pretty boy vampires are a plus), and Monochrome Factor at the insistence of my 2 daughters (shounen-ai... and demons... we'll see if it's worth the efffort... for now... the jury is still out on this one).
As usual, I'm starting this with a good intention of keeping an anime blog going, but, we'll see how long it holds out with my schedule. I don't play my MMOs much anymore, just watching anime most of the time.
