A long road
Anime Relations: Seitokai no Ichizon
Wow! I signed up for an account here in January of 2010… a full decade ago. Whodda thunk it would work out this way.
Since I have to include a 'related' anime in my post, I'll add what I believe to be the first show I marked down as viewed here… Seitokai no Ichizon, which I completed at midnight of the 2nd. Fall 2009 was the first season I watched anime and thus, this site became useful to me and I set up an account. Kind of fun.

Only on Weekends
Anime Relations: Kami nomi zo Shiru Sekai: Megami-hen
This is the second season in a row where there doesn't appear to be any new shows running early in the week. At a quick glance, I see just Kami nomi on Monday but every other new show seems to air on the weekend. I don't really like this trend.

Favourites Change
Anime Relations: Mahou Sensei Negima!, Negima!?, Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai, Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai Next
Having enjoyed this season of Haganai so much, I thought it time to finally add one of its heroines to my favourites list.
Asuna is out. Rika is in.
Ten favourites just isn't enough. While having long lists isn't particularly appealing, I'd like to see favourite characters split into major and minor, or main and supporting. There are so many more characters than shows or seiyuu that the site should have some way of handling that. It fits in with the site's design as well. I've suggested it in the appropriate forum but obviously it hasn't come to pass.
Anyway, Rika is charming, nutty and mostly sane. I hope Haganai gets a third season so I can see more of her and the rest of its mad cast.

Update Favourites
I've been thinking about doing this for a while as I hadn't modified my favourites since I first chose them (not that I can remember anyway, but I don't see Asahina-san's seiyuu anywhere).
Since doing so, there have been a couple of roles that are amongst my favourites and of course, a couple of seiyuu with newer roles that have really impressed me lately.
So out are Matsuoka Yuki, Chihara Minori and Hayashibara Megumi.
In are Hikasa Youko, who is all kinds of awesome, Hanazawa Kana and Toyosaki Aki.
From the characters…
Out are Asakura Kazumi, Konoe Konoka, Asahina-san.
In are Serizawa Fumino, Ruiko Saten, Chitanda Eru.
I wish that MAL had two levels of favourite characters — Main and Supporting. Then it would be easier to highlight characters like Asakura (or Kurumizawa Ume, Aragaki Ayase) in there. And especially those characters with limited lines who leave such a great impression, like Tsuruya-san, Orsola Aquinas, Kanzaki Kaori, Shinonono Tabane or Yukinokouji Nobara.

Slow start to the Fall Season
Anime Relations: Shinsekai yori, Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun
October 2 is almost over. Not seeing many new shows yet however — only two. Hopefully, the season will gear up soon.
