Wow it's April already? Golly gee Shiruet let's start watching all the anime!

*Still stuck under rewatching GBFT and Nanatsu no Taizai*

April is coming in about a week's time, and things amongst friends are looking pretty bright here. We had impromptu discussions during Advanced Functions classes and lunchtime where our circle of anime/manga/games fans alike had livechart/anichart open to openly discuss what is to be expected from the shows. After a week of talking about others, the question comes to me. "What do you think Shiruet?" said a friend of mine.

"Oh. Lol idk lemme look at it more in-depth."

So I thought I'd share this with y'all which shows I look forward to. Though I have to say this. Most anime fans usually know what they like right off the bat because they have had future visions of an anime adaptation coming out or they have read the manga. After scanning it, I can confirm that I am seeing most titles here for the first time!! So I'd be judging them pretty superficially based on the blurb given disregarding background stuff. (Seiyuu/Studio/etc.)

[My rating system goes from 1/5 (would give a try though might drop) to 5/5 (will definitely watch and keep it) Of course there's no 0/5 since I'd be featuring those I'd watch.}

1) Ameiro Cocoa - Huh. So another SoL/Com anime with cute boys and a café? This either sounds like a potential yaoi or those casual work-related animes. Looks like the mahou shounnen of Winter 2015 (Cute High Earth Defense Club Love!). {RATE: 3/5}

2) Arslan Senki - This fallen kingdom scenario along with the need to reclaim it reminds me of "Nanatsu no Taizai" and "Akatsuki no Yona" combined. Looks pretty similar and having a male main chara interests me. Maybe it'll be like a genderbent Yona. {RATE:4/5}

3) Denpa Kyoushui - Whoa it's those "used-to-be-great-people-now-a-NEET" characters making another appearance! Now he's being thrown into a life of a teacher; a great place for girls and starting up plots that'll definitely be humorous. Seems fun though. {RATE:4/5}

4) Dungeon ni Deai o Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka - Right of the bat all I can really see is the similarity to the "Magi" series. The mentioning of labyrinths and adventures and fateful meetings conjures up that idea. I love Magi, so let's see what this will bring. Pretty iffy on it since I hope the romance doesn't completely impede the adventures. [RATE:4.5/5}

5) Etotama - Is this another harem mixed with mythological creatures that for some queer reason are almost all girls? (As I deduced here.) Plus she then lives with a guy later. This is a start to a harem isn't it? {RATE:3.5/5}

6) Gunslinger Stratos - I'll right off admit I am an avid Yu-Gi-Oh! duelist and the Stratos caught my eye. (Why hasn't he been freed;-;) Anyways, so it's something about a ravaging disease, a interdimensional war and high school? When seen together, it does look very appealing. {RATE:4/5}

7) Hibike! Euphonium - I love music and this cannot make me happier to see an anime about music! (Like instruments and orchestras! I had my share of idols from Love Live! and Idolm@ster.) As I can see it, it's about a girl who wants to join an orchestra, but past relations make it hard? Hmm... I'm very excited for this but I hope for this not to completely turn into a different thing. Music rules! {RATE:5/5}

8) Mikagura Gakuen Kumikyoku - An intensive club/school anime involving battles of super powers?! So it's like Baka no Test! Wow I would totally watch this!! Why? Well I do like watching a comedy involving school and especially super powers!! Such a cool fusion of a magical element into something as daily as school. {RATE:5/5}

9) Nagato Yuki-chan no Shoushitsu - NO. WAY. I DID NOT ANTICIPATE THIS SPIN-OFF! I had always find Nagato's silence and mysterious personality extremely charming. And this is where she shines! I cannot wait for this and to see how she would manage if SHE had ran her own club. Thank you for this spin-off Haruhi-sama! {RATE:6/5}

10) Owari no Seraph - A world just full of children is truly a fantasy in itself, but put in vampires and it makes it 10x much more interesting. So an uprise against the monarchs? Now this is very interesting as I'm going to assume that there'll be tales of betrayal and hardships. {RATE:4.5/5}

11) Plastic Memories - This is the passive robo-apocalypse anime I've been knowing will come sooner or later, although it doesn't seem to be a supernatural/cyberpunk one. It seems to be more of a SoL/RomCom. Hmmm... will give it more thought. {RATE:3.4/5}

12) Re-Kan! - A simple story of a girl that has friends of the real world and friends of the otherworldly! Simple yet so straightforward! This is an anime I'll look forward too! No complex plots leave room for a lot of possiblities. {RATE:4/5}

13) Shokugeki no Souma - Another manga adaptation, and this time one of my favorite cooking mangas! I honestly have no words for this since I was kind of expecting it and I read the manga (well most of it!) I'm looking forward. {RATE:4.5/5}

14) Show by Rock! - It seems like an idol anime.... except this is ROCK! Whether it be full-on hardcore rock or just them blasting tunes, this seems like a probable anime I'd watch. Plus the characters seem to be weird people themselves so won't this be interesting. {RATE:4/5}

15) Triage X - So it's like a group of hot nurses + a group of delinquent assassins against the cancers (maybe super sick) people of society by killing them? Hmm.. I wonder if it's a government effort or some rebellion against some other race (of contagious people?) {RATE:3/5}

VERDICT: Spring is looking bright, and so are the anime series this season! I cannot wait for this to arrive here so that I may start the vivid discussions and just loving it! People say that my choices are those ones that are starting for the first time, and you're right! Sequels like Gintama and Baby Steps I haven't watched so until I watch them, those are off-limits for me! Hope you guys got what you wanted from this Spring List and let us wait for the sakuras to blossom and the season to begin!

Well, I guess I do know what others think of this season, but now it's my turn as to what I think of this season myself through the series I have watched. Keep in mind that this season (alongside anime) is also the season of examinations, Valentine's, and the New Year's, so I hope to give a positive outlook on this season despite my lack of activity in this season. (Q.Q)

{ Warning: Minor Spoilers! }

1) "Isuca" was one of the "mature" series that struck my interest right away (since I love a good supernatural series.) Though the mix of action and adventure and romance was present, I do have to say it leans a bit too much on the romantic side with one trying to kiss/deny one from the other or "accidental" trips that end up awkward. Overall was an alright show.

2) "Junketsu no Maria" was actually pretty awesome for a mix of the historical and magical series in one series. Although Maria tries to keep her virginity, (as per the name) the occurrences of those "naked" shots still add on to it. Although great show overall. Really loved the interaction between human/divine. (Kind of like SnB)

3) "Saekano" was... more or less really a show about an otaku who dreams of creating his own dating sim with a bunch of girls that have certain reputations in the school but have their own secretive sides. Unlike the first two, this doesn't quite cross the border of ecchi/hentai as much as a harem. I nearly dropped it, but it was an alright show. Not much to say about it.

4) "Binan Koukou Chikyuu Bouei-bu Love" or as I say it with my friends, "The Mahou Shounnen," is something entirely similar yet different. The ideas and art and designs are cool, but the plot was kind of.. meh. Boys fighting monsters coming from a higher-ranking villainous party. Alright, but I do give credit for being a unique show.

5) "Assassination Classroom" has been one of my favourite mangas for a long time, and an anime adaptation made me happy and excited for this. The anime does somewhat follow the manga, but the audacity of Koro Sensei and the mishaps of Class E makes my day.

6) "Koufuku Graffiti" is one of those shows that I wouldn't think I'd like, but very much enjoy. I mean, seeing everyday food animated in the highest quality makes me hungry all the time and watching Kirin and Ryou eat them makes me hungry and enjoyable nonetheless, although 4/5 times I end up with snacks littered on my desk.

7) I haven't got quite around "The Rolling Girls" and "The Idolm@ster: Cinderella Girls" due to time constraints and other issues, but I have seen the first episode of TRG and it seems.. alright albeit confused. I will, though, finish them and give an honest review later!

So what do I think of this season then? Well, an honest answer would really be that this season is pretty normal for me, though only fully watching like 6/many other series out there this season. Though the ratio of mature animes are high, I do think the autumn leftovers (like Nanatsu no Taizai (which I absolutely love) ) still balance it out in the end. Pretty average for me, though that might be subjected to change once I am finished with everything else I'm ready to watch. (YES SPRING BREAK!)

[ My second entry here! Am I doing well? :o Thanks for feedback at all times! ]

When I got to school, a lot of people in my class were quite excited since March means the Spring Anime List had been released hours before. A lot of girls and guys were pretty hyped up for this, which is actually relief from the terrifying amount of snow we get as well as last season's list.

So now that the winter season is nearing an end, what do you think of it overall?

A lot of people I asked said they were alright and quite average. A prominent point is that most of them lean more towards the "mature" rating. (provided we are but young high schoolers.) Some genres that most people got were: Ecchi/Hentai/Josei/Seinen, or at the very least, they pointed out the amount of "boy x girl" anime series being released.

I'd have to agree, since most of the series I watched do fall under those categories. Isuca had most of those elements, especially between Asano/Sakuya/Tama. Junketsu no Maria instead tries to contradict it, but still follows those lines. I wouldn't know if Binan Koukou Chikyuu Bouei-bu Love would fall under "girl x boy," yet it has those "love" aspects. Others include Absolute Duo, Kamisama Hajimemashita, Yuri Kuma Arashi (though it is a yuri title), Shinmai Maou no Testament, and Saekano.

Don't think I hate these shows! Oh no! Just because of this great influx doesn't mean I am pointing out that they're bad. I'd say that the selections here do fall in a limited variety of categories, but they are great shows nonetheless. I may not be into the yaoi/yuri fandom as much, but i do like josei/seinen/magic/supernatural genres, like Isuca or Maria.

Though these do take a lot of the room, there are other series released that don't fall under this category, mind you. Tokyo Ghoul 2, Assassination Classroom, Koufuku Graffiti, Durarara x 2, Kancolle, and others came out alongside them, which have a variety of genres.

Winter 2015 has been a good season. In my opinion, though the mass amount of mature genres, it is definitely carrying a good selection of series to watch. Spring 2015 is around the corner, so get ready for that! I haven't watched all of the anime series mentioned above, but some people tell me some are well done. Feel free to look them up!

[This has been my first blog entry! I hope you find it amusing (and not too long x.x) Please give me feedback to make future ones better! Thank you!]
