Anime Relations: Toradora!
Recently I read a negative review for one of my favorite anime of all time, Torardora.

"2/10?" I puzzled.
"The characters are uninteresting, and Taiga is just a mega generic tsundere?" I whispered disbelievingly.

Upon deliberating, I decided that maybe the review had a point. maybe, I was just seeing it through rose tinted glasses. After all, it was one of the first anime I watched, and I had watched nearly two years ago.
With that in mind, I set out to rewatch it.

So, a whole 25 episodes and a few tissues boxes later, I came to a conclusion: Toradora, was most certainly, without a doubt, better than I remembered it.

Hence the title for this entry. I can't say with certainty that my nostalgia was part of the reason I loved rewatching it so much. After all, both my love of romance anime and tsunderes can be attributed to Toradora.

I feel like I'm rambling without a clear point. What I want to say is is that nostalgia, when used as a measure for how good something is, isn't bad. If something makes me nostalgic when I think of it, I think that it must've been good or done something right to make me remember it with such fondness. And because of the love I hold for that particular thing, it's fair to say that it influences how I feel about other things. And I think that's wonderful.

All this isn't to say that the person who thought Toradora was bad is wrong; after all, that's a matter of taste, and I can't fault them for having shit taste different likes and dislikes. The point is that nostalgia should never be regarded as a bad thing. Because if you can't help but see it through rose tinted glasses, it must've done something right to be beloved by you.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to bawl my eyes out listening to Lost My Pieces.
