Anime Relations: Senyuu.

So, I started watching it primarily because the episodes are like 5 minutes long and I am impatient and shallow.

Oh my God. The first episode was hilarious. The characters (all two of them) are perfect and likable, the jokes come fast, the animation is crisp (if simple) and it's basically 5 minutes of perfect.

Then, just to show it wasn't a fluke, the second ep was just as awesome.

Excuse me while I revel in the satisfaction of a random dart-throw selection being so fucking good for me.

The rap. Jesus on a shark, the rap.

The Waldo outfit. Ross and the demon king forming the Pick on Alba and Snicker to Ourselves Club.

Everyone on this show is beautiful and useless.

Anime Relations: Katekyou Hitman Reborn!

I started watching it, knowing that the first *mumblemumble* episodes just had to be powered through, strong-like-ox style. I watched a couple episodes here and there until I was bored of the childish slapstick, then watched something else. (I'm a Homestuck fan, another series with a slow start that just has to be suffered through to get to the greatness.)

Now that I'm through the introductory episodes of the main characters, I think it's just beginning to get enjoyable for me. I'm on episode 15 - the snowball fight episode - and I think this is the first episode where I've been like, "This is awesome, I'm having a great time watching this." It's still silly and slapsticky, but it's as if now that we've set things up, we can start having fun bringing everything/everyone together and letting them at each other, y'know?

I think maybe I'd recommend ep 15 to people who want to try the series - I kind of wish I could have started here, but my need to know everything would have forced me to watch it from the beginning even if someone had told me to start here. BUT, I'm hopeful that KHR will continue to improve, and I can look back at my rec of ep 15 and laugh.

ALSO, YAMAMOTO IS MAI HASUBANDO. FUCKING LOVE THAT GUY, GOD.
But if he wanted to throw down Gokudera instead I wouldn't object



hunnnggg. when do we get to the everybody-is-a-hot-adult arc? do want.

Episode Thoughts

20 - Ooh, some new scenes in the OP. The guy who sticks his tongue out is annoying. Keep it in your piehole, Scarface. Seems like we're finally getting some plot going? The first multi-episode fight as well, I think. Poor Gokudera.

23 - "Sorry Yamamoto, but we're going to leave you here, unconscious and defenseless in enemy territory. This leafy tree will surely protect you. See ya!" You are all horrible friends.

Anime Relations: Tokyo Majin Gakuen Kenpuuchou: Tou Dai Ni Maku

Spoilers, yo.

Tokyo Majin Gakuen Kenpucho: Tou Dai Ni Maku, go diaf. I'm only mad at you because I had such great hopes for you after your marvelous first season. I am bitterly disappointed in you.

So, Tatsuma goes off to be a dragon fighting another dragon, grieving for his dead parents and leaving a totaled Tokyo behind and Kyouichi goes to look for him and bring him back, leaving us biting our nails..... and then you wrap all that up with TWO FINAL EPISODES OF HAPPY HAPPY SCHOOL PLAY FLASHBACK FUN for the end of the series?!

I will continue to enjoy your first season, admiring its mostly-linear storytelling, rounded, non-superfluous characters, excellent animation and fight scenes, and likeable series leads who manage to complete their story in a nicely-paced 14 episodes.

YOU, however, can diaf.

Anime Relations: Junjou Romantica 2

The second season of Junjo Romantica had one episode about my favourite couple? One? ONE!? Even the *other* secondary couple got at least two!

One. Jeez.

Why bother having them in the OP, really?

They could have cut out three episodes worth of "Usagi-ani?!" "Usagi-chichi?!" "Usagi-ani?!" "Usagi-chichi?!" etc etc etc. And that whole thing with the cousin....?

Grrr. Argh.
