To Heart 2: Episodes 12-13 (Final Impressions) [kakebuke/mokonamoo discussion]
Anime Relations: To Heart 2
"How to Get (and Possibly Get Rid of) an Unrequited Crush in the Fastest Way Possible"
So for a moment there I almost forgot than in the To Heart universe, any shred of UST or rather repeated maiden's blushes must either find its "resolve" in a platonic happily ever after or a fast forward to five-years-later-married/engaged-yet-apparently-not-living-in-the-same-apartment. [/KIND OF A SPOILER FOR ~Remember My Memories~ BUT NOT A MEAN ONE, SRSLY.] And the animation seemed to be getting worse and worse with every episode. >_>
I weep for you, Konomi, and wish you were given the chance to feel like, and consequently act on doing the nasty with, for instance, Yuji, who at least showed some healthy hormones and even some reasonable loli appreciation, in spite of a somewhat bad haircut.

How can you say LOL LET'S BE TOGETHER FOREVER* (* PS. THAT IS FRIENDS WITHOUT BENEFITS NATURALLY) to this? ;_;
Tama-nee, I do not dislike you, but what the hell was up with your calling dibs then not following through? And that half-arsed advice to Konomi was mightily useless. If someone had to be by her side, I'd rather have had Manaka and her magical hairclip any day.
Takaki... Every "wimpy" harem lead I'd seen had at least agonized over their incompetence and/or indecision. But you managed to surprise me by being much more robotic than any robot maid. I'm considering that they -- or, more likely, the twins -- may have stolen your soul.
In conclusion: needed moar Konomi, moar Manaka, and moar H-scenes, I mean actual romance, or even some actually entertaining slice-of-life (as in the first episode, or as in ~Remember My Memories~). The game(s) must be much better in all of these aspects. I certainly hope so.
Next: 3 OVAs + the "Another Days" one with new characters...

To Heart 2: Episode 11 [kakebuke/mokonamoo discussion]
Anime Relations: To Heart 2
"Tama-nee Calls Dibs"In which we learn that an invitation to a tea ceremony can be, in fact, summons to a death match; that Manaka probably thinks of Takaki as a friendly lesbian; that Tama-nee has poor taste in yukatas but has a lot of SPECIAL SKILLZ; that Yuuji begins to get the loli vibe...Next: Recap episode, which shall be skipped. OMG CLIFFHANGER!

"Special Spice"
On Ilfa -- Well, this robot maid isn't half bad, although she's definitely not as funky as
...teh Multi.
However,
What do you think she is? A saint?
AND INDEED SHE IS. Ah, to be so full of faith in the goodness of human nature and to believe that the wretched Ruri-chan truly wanted to be midwife for the birth of her robot maid soul...instead of just messing around with San-chan's toys. >_>
Next: DO MY EYES DECEIVE ME? Are Tama-nee and the main girls really back to move the story forward?...

"Get the Penguin, Don't Get the Girls"
Further proof that Ruri-chan should have been drowned as a kitten (don't know whether her voice or her ridiculous lines were the worst in this ep). At least San-chan and Yuuji seemed to be on the same drugs for most of the episode -- and San-chan looks much better with her hair down. Time to change your hairstyle and strangle that annoying brat in her sleep, girl. :>
Unsurprisingly, Takaki is still all mellow, in favour of world peace, etc. ...
Next: the Robot Maid (c) Kurusagawa Electronics returns! This can either go very well or very wrong.

"Small and Fugly Robot Bears are Female"
WHY?
Next: the insufferable twins probably get the harem intrigue started. There had better be an interesting link with Kurusugawa Electronics, the company that built To Heart's robot maids, or I will crucify those twins by driving a stake through their stupid buns. >_>

To Heart 2: Episode 07 [kakebuke/mokonamoo discussion]
Anime Relations: To Heart 2
"Hopefully the Only Filler, Or Not Filler - With Chanting"
Filler, or not filler... Filler if you consider that there hasn't been any real element of change introduced to get that harem off its comfortably platonic ass. Not filler if To Heart remains, after all, an ambiguity lost somewhere in between the harem and slice-of-life genres. What remains certain is that episode 7 was somewhat dull.
The overwhelming presence of Chicken Hair would be the most annoying point. Tamaki and her brother being stuck in less-than-supporting roles would be another. And Blue Challenge really didn't fit in well with her little gimmick (her friend Hairclip seems even more mature in comparison).
Thankfully, Konomi being adorable (and bringing a certain Minami-ke episode in mind...) and Ru's late but admirable entrance managed to distract me in the end. I suppose there should be bonus points for the obscure reference in the chanting.
Next: the preview sadly reminded me that the endless intros aren't over. Still those twins to go... On the other hand, if it follows the same pace as To Heart, we can still hope for some fast development in the last few eps.
