Anime Relations: Eve no Jikan
So before I continue to my possibly long blogging on anime and manga, I want to wish everyone a Happy New Year!! I hope everyone will have an eventful and happy 2009!

Okay, so let's see if I can do this all over again. What do mean, you might ask. Well I was actually typing out a similar blog a few days ago, but amidst the baking cookies and having my boyfriend over I just got distracted. To make it worse, I accidentally closed the window so I just got lazy and didn't do it. So here I am with a hot chocolate with melted marshmellows, attempting to blog again :)

If I remember correctly, I started out with where I left off in my previous entry. I managed to scavenge successfully for 2 more episodes of Eve no Jikan and they were really good. What I really love about this series is how realistic the dialogue is, I mean there are not a lot of animes with such "vibrant" voice acting like Eve no Jikan. Unlike other animes, lines are not spoken right after each other, instead you'll often hear lines overlapping or interrupting each other. Although it does get a bit repetitive after a while...but that element just adds a little more humour and pazazz. I'm sure if I start seeing this technique used in every other anime that existed, I would probably feel indifferent or annoyed by it.

Other than the voice acting, the animation is top notch, pure eye candy. And the storyline is unique and a bit insightful. There are a few silly pointless animes that I like (in which I cannot conjure up an example atm), but I'm really the type of anime watcher that prefers slice-of-life themed animes like Eve no Jikan.

It's really too bad that this anime is only 6 episodes long and the next episode comes out in April :(

~ to be continued XD

Anime Relations: Eve no Jikan, Skip Beat!
To make up for the fact that I started this anime/manga blogging a few days ago, I'm going to generally talk about one of my favourite animes that I'm watching this season, Skip Beat. (As I watch other episodes of an anime, if it's not the first episode...I will talk about that anime in general to start everything off ^^.)

So I got into this series around this summer through the manga. I think I read the series when I was younger but I lost interest (I have no idea why!). I'm surprised I did though, because this time I fell in love with it immediately. Imagine my excitement when I found out that there was going to be an anime just a few months away!

It took me a few episodes to get used to the seiryuus (even for miyano mamoru - everytime I hear his voice, all I can think of is Yagami Light from Deathnote XD)...but all in all, everything was great. I appreciated the fact that the anime follows very closely to the manga, it's been 12 episodes and so far there aren't any unnecessary fillers :P.

Because of how closely the anime follows the manga, every week on a Sunday I'll just count down and start searching for the latest episode and watching it in raw format. Sure I may not understand everything, but I still absolutely enjoy watching one of my fav mangas in action! I love the balance between comedy and the slice of life feel (I have this huge thing for slice of life mangas/animes..too bad the good ones are rare nowadays).

This week especially, I was very excited because it covers the beginning of one of my favourite arcs (I say favourite..but I pretty much like all of the arcs hahaha I'm so biased)...I cannot wait until next week when everything comes together!

Another thing I want talk about in this entry is this really awesome ONA called Eve no Jikan. I actually totally forgot about this until I stumbled upon a blog about it earlier. I watched the first episode a long time ago. The art the story is stunning; the fact that it's going to be only 6 episodes tells me that the likelihood of everything looking great is much higher. Anyone interested in something unique or sci-fi, this series is a must watch (even though I've only watched 1 episode so far)! Ahhh~ I think I'm going to go find more episodes~!!

So until next time~ またね~! ^^

December 19th, 2008
A few days ago I was introduced to this website and was completely and utterly amused by the purpose of it! I think I just stayed on for a few hours adding as much anime/manga into my lists to the best of my ability...I was very determined to include everything that I have seen in the past 8 years into the correct categories. Of course it was quite difficult since my memory isn't one of my best qualities. So I will be updating my list slowly but consistantly as I remember the things I've seen or read!

I also notice other interesting functions of this site including blogging; I thought, hey that's pretty cool..I could have a place to blog about anime/manga. And that is exactly what I plan to do. Since I already have a personal blog, I thought I'll take this opportunity to start blogging about the anime/manga I've seen/read...afterall, both have been an influencial part of my life so far.

Although I doubt I'll be blogging often, but I'll try my best to keep this blog a bit alive once in a while.

I'm very excited to do this, if there is actually someone who is reading this...please do continue to in the near future!

では。。よろしくおねがいします!(dewa..yoroshiku onegaishimasu!)

- Robby ^^
