| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- They kinda went wild on this episode. The Red Hawk and the shot of the crew afterwards was some nice cinematography to start off. And not only cinematography, there was also quite a bit of original content and rearrangement. The scene with Orochi and his little harem for instance wasn't like this in the manga and if yes, then definitely not as fanservice-esque. What's even cooler was that Queen returned with the Funk Dance + DJ Apoo crossover, lmao. What a party. Introduction of the Tobi Roppo was also atmospheric and I already like their voices. The final scene when Luffy postponed the party gave us many more gorgeous shots. That whole part had awesome composition in general, from the OST (Gommu Gommu no Bazooka) to adding Oden. When they all put down their mugs and left, I couldn't help but smile. 5/5 Even if not much was adapted, it's impressive how some simple panels were elevated like that. So despite little content it still felt like much because of the stunning presentation. Style is substance. I'm overjoyed to see such care put into One Piece again. And it's not just Ishitani. | Masterpiece. One of the greatest episodes I have ever watched. Ishitani is the best The art/animation was insane and I loved the usage of color (especially that queen dancing scene). If that red hawk scene was in the previous episode then it would have been the highlight but this episode was so insane it honestly feels like an afterthought which is crazy considering how mind-blowing the scene is The topi roppo introduction and the reveal of kaido's son was truly something else too. I love the tobi roppo voice actors and I was smiling for the whole entire thing. That queen dancing scene is stuck in my mind and I love it. That final scene with the banquet tease was 10/10 too. I love the split second of oden switching back to our main protagonist Luffy. The last few minutes were as 10/10 as 10/10 as the stuff before. Perfect all the way through and I'm glad that the anime is getting more love put in to it. Easy 5/5 and this might be one of my favorite op episodes easily |

| Just letting it sink in... This is beyond awesome and it's truly a masterpiece, for sure! "Presented by Onigashima" "Konjiki Kagura" ^ That was dope! I must say that I do like the presentation of Queen's concert with Scratchmen Apoo doing some rap for the roll call of the Animal Kingdom Pirates. The lighting was phenomenal! The Tobi Roppo introduction! Wow... I couldn't stop watching it. I've been replaying it over and over again because this is just beyond awesome and I enjoy listening to their voices. Yaaaay! Finally got to see Ulti animated! xD And she sure is crazily hot-tempered! xDD I love Ulti. xDDD What a beautiful finish for this episode showing the Straw Hats agreeing to put down their mugs and hold off their celebration until they finally take down Kaido. It will be the grandest banquet in Wano after the battle! This will surely be an unforgettable episode! I'm truly appreciating all the care for the animation that Toei has done for this magnificent episode! This brings tears of joy to my eyes... ;w; |

| Same director as 957, she's really good. Pace finally felt good compared to past couple of episodes and art/animation was really clean. Easy 5/5 for this one and worth watching for manga readers. |

| Man, what an episode this was! Toei seriously went wild. All those transitions, clubbing and the final touching moments between the Straw Hat members, simply fantastic! Update in the artstyle and the extra color usage, we need more of this. 5/5 episode. |

Gotta love all the shots and the effort to go as far as to make Queen's performance as a music video, Tobi Roppo's introduction and the banquet, it's just so good! Looking forward to meeting Kaido's son as well, I guess he's the guy in the opening. |

| That's what you can call perfection right down to the last detail. The animation was so incredible, it would have been hard to tell if I wasn't watching a movie. From Luffys Red Hawk to Queens performance, an absolute eyegasm. We finally got introduced to the Tobi Roppo. Their interaction was pretty funny, but I'm sure all of them (besides Drake and Page One who we already know) are super strong. Since Drake is a double agent I wonder what he will do when it comes to the big fight. Not to forget it's also very interesting to hear Kaido mentioning his son. So far we never heard him talking about it. I have the feeling his son could play a bigger role and I'm very curious to see more about him. This episode showed such a nice contrast between the Kaido/Big mom pirates + Orochi who are celebrating to the fullest without knowing what's about to happen and Luffy/Law/Kinemon and the others who are about to enter Onigashima just with one goal, to reclaim and open Wano. Especially the transition where you can see Oden running in front of them as symbol of their determination was wonderful. Typical Luffy, not celebrating Jimbei as a new crew member but instead wanting wait for it until after the fight when they've won to celebrate it in an even bigger banquet. The reaction of all the straw hats in immediately accepting his decision and not drinking anything out of their cups just shows how much they respect and trust Luffy. Damn I really don't want to wait another week :D |

| One Piece episode 982 was my favourite one piece episode post timeskip. It was just pitch perfect in everyway and normally I'm against the movie quality thing but the queen's banquet scene reminded me of a one piece movie. But its not even about the animation even though that was fucking amazing, the art and colouring was beautiful and the mood lighting of certain scenes was so good. Then there's the character dialogue between the straw hats and the tobi roppo to each other which captures all their personalities in a way that I haven't felt been done in so long. Such a great episode. |

| HOLY SHIT THIS EPISODE WAS SOOOO FUCKING GOOD. I absolutely loved the golden festival's intro *zoom zoom zoom zoom zoom zoom zoom* . I loved Kaido's subordinates introduction. Ulti and Black Maria are so hot!!! He said Ulti's not cute but she DEFINETLY is. I was surprised when I heard Kobayashi Yuu, she fits Black Maria so well. The last scene where Luffy said they will have the biggest banquet after beating Kaido was great as well. Everything about this episode was amazing, thank you Toei. |

| This episode was simply mindblowing. I love Ishitani! Even simple panels from the manga were adapted so beautifully and everything about this episode was perfect! Especially the Strawhat part near the end, Gave me goosebumps! Cant wait for the upcoming eps if this is the quality we're getting. This was seriously movie level quality. Thank you Toei. |

| Holy crap although not much happened and the animation from the Wano arc was already a notch above past arcs, this episode with its movie quality definitely took it to the next level. Really hyped to see the big upcoming fights happen with this kinda animation possible. |

| This episode was like a mini-movie. The treatment One Piece has been getting since Wano began highlights the astronomical night and day difference in quality compared to previous arcs. You don't even have to go back super far to see it, just going back to the previous arc, Whole Cake Island, makes it seem like a completely different studio is animating OP now. |

| I used to only watch the anime as some kinda refresher, and it looked average, but daaaamn, recently things look so good, it's the least such an amazing story deserves! I wasn't expecting Queen's party to look so dope. Can't wait to see the actual fight scenes! |
| if i am not wrong they only adapted a single chapter this ep ( and few pages from another) , and unlike with other eps , you couldnt feel the streetching at all . they added and beautifully fleshed out a lot of the scenes .and the boarding was really well timed . Now that is masterful directing . Well , here we go then . next ep onwards its balls to walls time . and my girl yama looked fi~ne . |
