| Why is Kage's sole purpose in this show now to do a Brock and explain everything that's happening to Bojji and/or the audience? He's barely even an actual character anymore and it's becoming seriously grating. Whatever the answer may be, it's just one of many ways in which this second cour has been a serious disappointment compared to the first. The amount of "tell, don't show" is excessive and feels lazy, and Bojji's growth from being literally powerless to this godly fighter able to defeat nearly any non-immortal foe has come about way too quickly and just feels contrived; having multiple characters exposit their acknowledgement of his growth this episode just made it feel even worse. |

It makes me sad to say that but for me Ranking of king is a ~Good~ show with nice production, but with a terrible storytelling. (I’m gonna watch until the end just because 2nd opening is a total W.) (Sorry if my english is bad) I was going to write a longer post about this eventually, but you said everything I wanted to say. The series started really strong, with character introductions, misdirections and plot twists carrying it. But now that everything has more or less settled down and it's time for the story to actually go somewhere... it doesn't know where to. And the characters, who at first were all complex and misterious, each with their own goals, are now just as confused about the plot as we are and don't know what they should be doing (what have Bojji, Hilling, Apeas, Miranjo, Desha and Bosse being doing for the last few episodes, honestly? Just running around/reacting to the events around them). The dialogue has also been suffering in these last few episodes. Everything just seems out of character for them to say, out of place given their situation or both. And that's ignoring all the exposition from Kage and Miranjo, which doesn't even make sense for them to be saying out loud. It seems to me that the author came up with a very good idea for the story, thought out many individual events but then had trouble weaving everything together in a cohesive manner. It's actually really common with fantasy/adventure stories: characters do 'thing A' and then have to do 'thing B', but the author doesn't know how to tie these two events together so he/she just has the characters running around for a while until they get where they should be. |

| Miranjo's goal is so fucking goofy it makes me cringe inside. Why annihilate so many innocent people, why use actual beasts from hell, and why for the love of god does she need to kill off Hiling and everyone besides Bosse? Just get tf out with him on these silly adventures, for crying out loud. This is the stupidest motivation of the main villain I have ever heard. |

| Damn, what an episode! Finally a meeting between Bojji and Ouken! And now he realized that he's immortal, but there's gotta be always a way to end his life. Also, i've seen quite some people complaining about Kage in this episode, and i do have to agree on one side, but on the other, he gathered info that Bojji didn't know, like that he's immortal so i guess i can give him a pass. |

| Well, that was a good episode. First of all, we got to see what happened to Ouken and how he became immortal and then we also got a fight between Bojji and Ouken which got quite intense and looks like Miranjo is still here giving advice. |
