The story flows really well with no side stories for digressions (so far). Also, for some reason, this manga is highly immersive. Even though the only flaw that the manga has is that the ending is rather obvious, the progression of this story really stands out. (-1 as it is only chapter 15)

I'm just writing this review to help out people like me. I really hate Harems, drama, love triangles and such. I've read like 15 chapters or so, and for me this manga could've been so good. Unfortunately, it's becoming so annoying. Each of the main couple have other people that they love, and it's pissing me off how much time they're spending with each other but still when they see their crush, it's as if they forget about each other. Don't bother if you're looking for a romance plot with character depth or actual development. This is one of those reads that you shouldn't take too seriously—the kind where you have to turn off your brain to enjoy it.

First and foremost, the plot premise is stupid right off the bat—a high school coupling teenage kids to act as married couples to foster their relationship skills. Something like this is typically forgivable, after all, there are plenty of well-done rom-coms that start off with some wacky gimmick.

Story: 3/10

This entire story is executed poorly, though; it abuses the classic rom-com misunderstanding shtick to absolutely unrealistic proportions. ... Utilizing misunderstandings to keep the story afloat by purposefully stunting relationship developments to SOME degree is understandable, but it's a bit too much when you're using it to practically cripple ANY development. There are several instances throughout where the childhood friend who the MC has been busting his balls over since at LEAST middle school drops obvious hints (at least to anyone with a properly functioning brain) to the MC that she wants him to lay down the pipe on her. Many of those cases, of course, results in misunderstandings. I don't need to delve too much on that. But there's another problem where some of those cases result in the MC conveniently acting like he heard/saw absolutely nothing from her (Chapter 20 for instance, where I decided to drop this manga). What? How do you even explain that? The story relies far too heavily on misunderstandings and "conveniences" to halt any substantial development. Conveniences such as the MC's friend seeing the MC's assigned wife with her crush at just the right angle, leading him to assume they were kissing, the MC's friend then running to find the MC, and conveniently interrupting him as soon as he's about to ask his childhood friend if she's interested in "switching" spouses. One could argue that any encounter, development, interaction, etc. in a fictional work is "convenient" to the author's whim. But when there are conveniences layered on top of more conveniences—it's far too much, and said author needs to work on their writing skills. This would be far more forgivable if this was a parody, but it is first and foremost a romantic plot.

Character: 3/10

The characters are cookie-cutter rom-com staples. There is no depth to them beyond whatever the generic-rom-com-character generator this mangaka grabbed them from. You've got your spineless and dense MC who is far too fixated on his virginity, or lack thereof. Your innocent, pure, and also dense childhood friend who makes far more of an effort in wooing the MC than he has his entire life, but it goes to waste because the MC either misunderstands or it just flies over his head. Then you've got your JK gal underdog (main heroine of course, she's the underdog after all) as she seemingly fails to garner attention from either of the two dudes (?) she's vying for. There is practically nothing more to these characters aside from what I mentioned above. The gal main heroine runs into some self-conflict as she's confused on why she has "feelings" for two characters—the gigachad who succeeds at everything and fails at nothing, and then the loser MC. The mangaka seems to be going the route where she'll become enlightened to the idea that she merely admires the gigachad and actually falls in love with the MC. Fair enough, I mean it's a bit naive for her to actually think she's truly in love with the gigachad when you can't really say you love someone you don't actually know. It seems more realistically likely to me that she's using the MC as a "fallback" and relying on him for validation and comfort whenever she fails to garner the gigachad's attention, but nonetheless, there is actual room for her character to have some depth depending on how the mangaka decides to play this out. Given the mangaka's record thus far though, I wouldn't hold too much hope.

Art: 7/10

The art isn't bad. Nothing outstanding, but it lends to some nice fanservice if you're into that. The fanservice is seemingly the biggest viable pull factor for this manga, because everything else about it just isn't appealing.

Overall: 4/10

No shade on anyone who enjoys this manga. I've enjoyed plenty of stories that I've objectively rated a lower score, but this one isn't my thing at all. Again, this manga might be your thing if you're looking for a rom-com where you can turn off your brain and enjoy the fanservice.
