Born in 1967 Ezura Hisashi was originally an animator known for the additional effects work on his drawings but has now switched for most part to creating and directing digital effects because of the upcoming advances in the digital production, which he strives to perfect.

Ezura is working at Production I.G. He, together with director Kitakubo Hiroyuki and animator Kiyozumi Norifumi, have been credited in no small part for Production I.G's advances in digital cinematography techniques.
