I openly admit ignorance. I only wrote what I saw as being the consensus among fans. I mean, though, that's what this is all about -- it's pretty divisive. Most people seem to agree on one thing, though: remakes tend to be better simply because they have the chance to perfect whatever they got wrong the first time. (I kind of prefer old anime a lot of the times though, but don't tell anyone I said that :P )
I literally had a reply typed up and clicked off on accident so I'll keep this brief. I don't like Trigun at all, I found most of it boring and cringy. You might like it but for me it's one of the most overrated titles ever. Kekkai shares nothing in common with Trigun, it's close to Durarara than anything else. Here's a list of western inspired shows:
Baccano
91 Days
Gungrave
Gunsmith Cats
Joker Game
Cowboy Bebop
Outlaw Star
Riding Bean
Black Lagoon

One Punch Man is actually the greatest form of media ever created! =O
Yeah, maybe. It is pretty interesting so far, so I might do a short review after I finish it :p
