I also loved the Urusei Yatsura remake! It kept the essence of the original while updating the visuals beautifully. I watched also the movies and my favorite one is Beautiful dreamer.
As for the other Takahashi's works, I've never watched Inuyasha, but I watched the remake of Ranma ½ and I loved its comedy and absurd situations.
Do you have a favorite among her other works?
You're very welcome! It’s always a pleasure to meet a fellow Urusei Yatsura fan! Lum is such an iconic and lovable character, and Rumiko-sensei’s stories are always so much fun.
And don’t worry about your English: you're doing great! If you ever want to chat about Urusei Yatsura or any of Rumiko Takahashi’s series, I’d love to hear your thoughts.
Wishing you a great day! <3
I agree, the classic Ranma is definitely a gem from the 90s! It’s fascinating how it caused such a stir with its humor and unique premise. I also have high hopes for the remake by MAPPA—I've heard great things about their work.
As for romantic anime, I’ve enjoyed titles like Kokoro Connect, which has such a beautiful story and emotional depth. I also loved Toradora! for its character development and humor. Honestly, I watch a lot of romance anime, so you can check my list first if you want to recommend something :D
might not be for everyone—it's definitely a unique experience! And I see your point about Dandadan; not every synopsis grabs us.
It’s a bummer that there aren’t many full romance titles this season. The remake of Ranma 1/2 sounds fun! I remember that being a classic; I used to watch it ages ago. As for Amagami-san Chi no Enmusubi, waiting for a few episodes to see how the romance develops is a smart move!
If you find any good romance anime, let me know! I’m always looking for recommendations! :v
And if there's a romance in this season, I'll watch it too. I never miss the romance genre either! hbu?
