The server is really crowded. Wouldn't be surprised if nobody's even seen my request there, LMAO

I've tried advertising a bit on the AF server, and still not much luck. I think the main source of defenses for me last year was people seeing my characters in the newly submitted tab on the home page, which is sadly down right-now :\

I can't rule-out the possibility that others are working on some for me as we speak, since I know that every artist's pace is different. But I do certainly think it's not a coincidence that I seem to be getting less defenses than I did in the first week last year XD

Thanks! TBH, I haven't been paying attention to the team points at-all, lol. TBF, I didn't really do that last year either. XD
I'm definitely hoping to keep up my current pace (although unfortunately I will be offline most of tomorrow. Hopefully I can at-least return to a few attacks on my characters, lol), especially since I've finally abandoned MS Paint, making my attacks look better and quicker to make to!
Yeah, I totally get prioritizing revenges! I've been doing that so far, and it's going pretty well! (Not that I have many defenses to revenge yet, LMAO)

Watching dub/sub based on setting has always sounded like an interesting idea to me! I suppose with JoJo, though, that's probably hard to chose for parts 3 and 5 considering their global nature. Well, unless you watch the Italian dub of part 5, if that exists, LMAO

I've vaguely figured-out the light-source thing from making custom Pokémon sprites (official Pokémon sprites are always lit up from the top-left), but I still feel it's my weakest area, maybe behind posing
I'm currently working on my mass attack. Got 2-and-a-half out-of the 8 characters I intend to include. Pixel-art takes forever to do, LMAO!

Yeah, I wish I went into R.O.D totally blind! Unfortunately I got one-or-two story beats spoiled on me. The only thing I'd really recommended knowing, plot-wise, before watching is that the OVA is pretty much essential-watching before the TV series :)
Considering I always watch dub where available, I must say, campiness and bias for the series aside, that JoJo's has one of the best English dubs I've ever heard, IMO!

I'd definitely call R.O.D a hidden gem! "Princess Principal but even better" is probably a really simplified summary of my thoughts on it, lol
I love me a campy dub! The fake accents in the first 2 JoJo parts' dubs sorta have that appeal (even though I controversially thought the accents were all pretty convincing, apart from Stroheim sounding like every bad Arnold Schwarzenegger impression ever, LMAO)

tbh im not that good with recommendations, i honestly just watch whatever is popular.

As someone who hasn't really figured-out line-art (pixel-art aside) and has definitely not figured-out shading, I can definitely understand how focusing on one might be worth sacrificing the other. I can't imagine concentrating on both at-once! Maybe that's just totally inexperience on my part, but it does sound like it'd be hard to do, especially if you want to get a certain amount of pieces done in just a month! ^u^

Part of me thinks Jade might just go with whichever one she's randomly assigned since that's what we both did last time, lol. Although I can't rule-out her picking Vampire just to be on a different team to me (and because JoJo's, lol), either!

Apparently, according to what I've heard from Jade (probably the only person other than NISIOISIN who's watched both R.O.D and Monogatari, LMAO), when one of the characters first meets Araragi they think his name's Yomiko and he says he's not an agent of the British Library who can control paper. Which I guess means that Araragi was named Koyomi solely to set-up a R.O.D joke, lol. Which, honestly, is incredibly based, IMO. R.O.D needs more love!

I really should be practicing a lot more myself, lol. I suppose I'll probably use some of Jade's characters as guinea pigs while I find my footing again, since I know she won't mind, LMAO!

Oh, did they stream the team announcements? I suppose every company does streams nowadays, so I guess that's not too surprising. Hopefully Jade and I are on different teams this year so that we can get more points for attacking each other, but who knows? Being on the opposite team to me and your siblings will probably be pretty good for Vampire's points though, right? That is, if you're planning to attack us, of-course!

Rollercoaster of quality certainly sounds like Jade's experience with Monogatari, in the sense of having ups and downs. XD
One of these days, I should check it out for myself to see what it's all about. I know it's pretty much the only series that has a shout-out to R.O.D in it, so that's something! Lol. The only other series I know to have a R.O.D shout-out is bizarrely The Owl House, LMAO, such that's a pretty unique thing Monogatari's got anyways! Plus NISIOISIN wrote one of the JoJo spin-off novels, which does certainly pique my interest
