I saw the Ghost in the Shell review too, and I've got to agree, the movie is a snorefest...
I'm a patient person, and I love anime regarding morals and existential concepts, but man alive GITS is overrated.

It's not about "getting it" (so I don't know what Raidanzoup is on about) - it's a simple concept made stupidly elaborate which detracts from the point. It shouldn't take a whole movie as preachy and up itself as GITS to explain that what makes us people, is a series of impulses, connections, and programming - not far from machines... Then you go into free will, and emotions etc. it's been done many times before, and better...

Just happen to notice that on another note. Enjoyed that one.
It's one of a kind, and brings about an emotional weight and plight that i'll never forget.
It was just so heavy, and you've got Rin herself being a symbol to fight against a corrupt adult society, and Kuro making an impactual statement about sexism.
