Howdy! So sorry that I haven't had a chance to reply back to you. Life the last couple of months has been pretty rough for me. Thanks so much for the complement! You also have awesome taste as well! Your favorite wrestlers that you mentioned are awesome!!! I love Great Muta as well along with Angle & Danielson! I met Kurt at a TNA house show back around 2009 and he was a great guy to meet. I also love Eddie Vs. Rey from Halloween Havoc 1997, that's one of the best matches of all time! I haven't seen any of the Japanese Matches that you mentioned, but I'll def have to watch them! Also Sting's final match at Revolution last year worried me, but it turned out great! A friend of mine went to that show and got me a Sting shirt!

As for Omega, I 100% recommend the series of matches he had with Okada. Their two out of three falls match is the best wrestling match I have ever seen. Omega's matches with Will Ospreay are also incredible and his recent match with Gabe Kidd back in January at Wrestle Dynasty is also amazing!

Thanks. I technically finished it ages ago. I was doing some cursory checks on my stuff, and just never updated it.

I have a bit of a berserk button when it comes to YYH. I think it's a fantastic example of a shonen series (specifically the anime), but ONLY in Japanese. Good lord, there are not strong enough words to illustrate just how much I absolutely DETEST the English dub. Only exacerbated by the fact that so many western fans have deluded themselves by remembering it as "one of the best dubs ever". (And yes, I could write an encyclopedia on why, as I did watch both and am only just now beginning to finally forget that travesty)

But yeah, YYH is good, and the original YGO manga was way better. Funny enough I think I met Simone (Depressedjackass) because of YGO and talk with Lil-Bird a lot about YYH, so that lines up.

No problem, and yeah, I do like to talk more. I actually like being friends with people I add. Nothing annoys me more than friend collectors.

What sort of shared interests did you want to talk about? Who are our shared friends? Sorry, I haven't been on for forever and don't remember much of anything anymore.

I can at least promise that S.A.C. isn't as graphic as the movie, so if you like the ideas presented in the movie while uncomfortable with everything else, you'll feel better about the TV series. Also killer soundtrack.

I think that's fair, in which case, you might be better off with the subs? Like yeah, Revy has a sailor mouth and that's part of her character, but the English dub really went ham on it in that regard. I won't lie that it did take me a bit to come to terms with the vulgarity in the dub even though I went in knowing they did that. It was the same with Deadman Wonderland's English dub, it's super rare for a dub to drop the hard-C outside of a bad hentai dub.

Oh man, an Evangelion manga collection. I'm still mad Viz has decided to stop printing individual volumes of the original manga, I only have the first and last volumes since I didn't go to B&N often at the time. I think the prices are still reasonable on Amazon, though, I just have to find a new job first lmao.

I need to expand outside of the Harlock series, I just haven't decided when to start Galaxy Express 999 yet lol. Maybe soon, I've decided to do a personal challenge for the new year by watching only anime that have prime numbered-episodes because I dunno xD. Would actually give me a good excuse to finally get back into Gundam after attempting it some years back but was getting bored in those first several episodes.

LOL if I tell him that, he'll probably be all "wut" but it'd help stroke his ego a bit. He has some eclectic tastes in general, and the character favs are more based off of nostalgia for him. He's also one of the few who actually dares to put down hentai characters on his favs, though in all honesty, I understand the appeal of those particular characters because the series they star in are interesting titles to begin with. These days, he's more interested in the historical importance of said-titles on top of nostalgia since they were some of the first true mature anime he watched, and while I'll likely never watch La Blue Girl ever again, I may agree to another rewatch of Legend of the Overfiend because of the hilarious dub.

But yeah, Black Lagoon and Ghost in the Shell are must-sees. My husband's favorite take on Motoko Kusanagi is the Stand Alone Complex continuity which is really excellent, but there's so few bad titles of GitS in general that the whole franchise is a recommendation. (Although personally, I prefer Appleseed.)
